Great job by Coach Flood, the other coaches, the Academic Support Staff, and especially the players.

http://www.app.com/story/sports/col...top-big-ten-graduation-success-rate/75162956/

In all, Rutgers athletics posted an overall score of 86, its seventh consecutive year with a score of 84 or above.

Five Rutgers athletics teams -- men’s basketball, men’s golf, gymnastics, women’s lacrosse and women’s soccer -- posted perfect scores of 100 and 17 out of 20 teams earned marks above 80 percent in GSR.

Men’s basketball’s perfect score is tied for the best nationally for the third consecutive year, and is tied for tops among Big Ten Conference members.

OP literally can not go 1 week without praising Flood. For all the bashing he gets I can always count on you every single week for a pro Flood thread and to show the "nicer" side of already notorious nice guy head coach. Thanks for making sure we keep the board balanced on such great things Flood does. It's ok to say you love Flood. You don't have to pretend and say you are neutral anymore. Honestly not a big deal to be a Flood supporter.

Pretty ironic thread considering he was suspended for not following protocol. Great Job Kyle! [banana]

Great job by Coach Flood.

I'm not sure that I'd give Flood the credit. These rates are for students who entered Rutgers in the Fall of 2008. They are Schiano's recruits. Until the last semester of their senior years, they all were part of Schiano's program.

It is a blessing that Rutgers' reputation doesn't depend on the graduation rate of the knuckleheads on this message board. {:)
I agree, Fludd should proof and edit their posts like he does his players school work.

The OP opens the window in the morning and sees the sky is blue and thanks Fudd.

Yes the man who tried to change the grade for a player who broke another student's jaw must be thanked for academic integrity.

Maybe Elmer was with Seal Team 6 when OBL was killed? Perhaps he was the one who invented the polio vaccine? Has anyone investigated?

Flood has NEVER maintained he is responsible for our academic success in football ... if not mistaken he has ALWAYS given credit to our support staff and the system established during Schiano's years...What seems to be forgotten is this is a good thing for the school regardless and those who mock this achievement ( as not being as important as wins ) are typical of what has happened in all levels of sports...business and our so called educational system..I have enjoyed being an alum ...donor...multi ticket holder for almost 40 years...though I don't like losing it is time to separate oneself from this cesspool of daily ********...by a younger group...Florida can't come soon enough.

P.S. When Flood is renewed for next year 2016 try not to **** your shorts boys...unless one of you B1G donors steps up he has a very good chance to stay.

Great job by Flood for not screwing up the support program that Schiano put together.

I disagree, the kudos should go to the support staff for not allowing Fludd to screw them up. According to the investigation Fludd was working against academic support...it was the support staff keping Fludd on track not the other way around.

Irrespective of the obligatory pros and cons about Flood, this is really a great thing that all Rutgers fans should be very proud of.
Although nobody would consider RU a sports factory, we are still involved in big time athletics and that makes what we are seeing academically even more impressive.
Congratulations to the athletes and support teams.

LOL it is great news when it involves the entity that report Coach Fraud to the proper authorities when he tried to change a grade for a kid who assaulted another student.

You're Floodies because you pretend like Flood had anything to do with something that didn't set the program back several seasons.

OP try his best. With Schiano Rutgers ranking was better but he avoids those facts. To quote him "strange and sad"

Some of you are simply miserable. Why can't people appreciate that there are good things and bad things about the program and coaching staff? Praise the good things, like this, and criticize the bad things (I'm sure there's a list out there somewhere).

You have a lot of nerve being positive about something positive. I am reporting you to the moderators. It's easier to be part of the angry mob and tear down, mock and curse everything. Some real mental midgets on this board.

The amount backwards is inconsequential, relatively speaking - our APR is a big positive for the program, which Schiano/Mulcahy started and Flood has continued. So he should get credit for it. The list of things he gets blame for, which is why I want him fired, is way longer, but I see no point in bringing all those things up in this thread, as opposed to many of you, who simply can't help yourselves. Just my opinion.

Rutgers was the top public U for the APR with Schiano but now just top 3 in the conference. ..that's going backwards

All I know is Rutgers has been amount the leaders in APR for the last 8 years.
No other State University can make that claim.
Knock Flood all you want, but try to congratulate the Student/Athletes for their part in that eight straight year accomplishment.

Would be nice to have a positive not turn into a Flood bashing and forgetting to recognize the players ( past & present) academic accomplishment

Like it or not, Fludd is the face of the program, everything that happens is seen through that filter. Fludd tarnished the one positive thing this program had going for it, he should be fired for that just as much as he should be fired for the on field performance.

Has anyone given the players credit for their part in RU's GSR & APR ???
Seems like in the rush to knock Flood no one posting in this thread even made an effort to congratulate the players that were the cause of the academic achievement that Rutgers University was honored for.

Stop your bitching about everything you can think of to make this honor look less than it is
and give the players the credit they deserve for their work in the classroom that made this honor possible.
