Good for him. he deserves a real shot to earn playing time somewhere else.
That handwriting was on the wall at the Wagner game, when Simon did not appear in garbage time. It was clear that there was an agreement to preserve his redshirt, and that he would be used only if necessary.
Will be interesting to see if he suits up for the bowl.

Ash recruit, then Wimsatt becomes the object of Schiano's desire, tough situation for him. We really need to hit the portal but what quality qb wants to come when there is uncertainty of getting fair shot. Next year it is Wimsatt, a lightly recruited 2nd year qb and true frosh. Problems result when you put all your eggs in one basket. Hopefully one of the qb's takes a big step up.

Since Warner is bolting this might make some sense. Also…If he goes to Delaware and there aren’t enough FBS Bowl eligible teams next year maybe he winds up playing in a Bowl game with the Hens?
After Sheppard there are two walk ons. Soph Raeden Oliver and Freshman Colin O'Sullivan.
sitkowski, despite the turmoil he endured at RU, got a shot with Illinois.. so would not be surprised if Evan gets with a decent program.
Iowa would probably kill to have him. He throws a catchable ball (that’s both good and bad at times however).
Sitkowski was the clear backup at Illinois that was only inserted when the real starter was injured. And he didn’t do any better there than he did here.
Good call. Makes sense. Syracuse might also be a good fit for him, especially if he wants to stay in the P-5. He knows Nunzio and Fran.

i get that, but he still got onto a good program. Just saying Evan might want that opportunity, or go mid-major and play now. Anything is possible with Portal.
