Curious how playing on grass will effect the game or not

Anyone have a good scouting report on Harvard? I'm looking at you, @mdk01 as you seem to have a good grasp on the Ivy League and how each teams play. Do they have a good FOGO/goalie? Are they a team like us who likes to light up the scoreboard or are they a slower paced team that grinds out games? Apparently this is the first lax meeting between Rutgers and Harvard in almost 40 years. Last time these teams met was in 1983.

We played Lehigh last year on grass in round one...we blitzed Lehigh. Zero issues...unless it’s wet or it rains a bunch
40% chance of showers on Fri and 60% chance of thunderstorms on Sat. Let's hope it's light.

Very talented, VERY young. Freshmen account for over 50% of their scoring. Up tempo but not NASCAR. Goalie HM All Ivy. They do not have an elite FOGO.

This seeding as as good as we could have hoped. Harvard while good at home is a different team on the road and they are very young. They do not possess an elite fogo or an elite goalie but he is a senior. Harvards defense has given up 10 goals or more 9 times.

I think our age and experience will carry us to the final four. This is a great bracket

BTW, super excited to watch lacrosse at Yurcak. If you have not seen a game there it is a pretty cool place to watch one. That field is going to be in pristine shape and will look awesome on the TV and play even better. I think the last time we played on that field was around 2014 as I watch us play Duke there.

Though they did beat Michigan in Ann Arbor and early in those freshmen's D1 year. No doubt about the age and experience advantage for Rutgers.

The comparable that’s concerning is that Harvard beat Princeton 19-16 and lost by a goal to Yale away. I’m sure Brecht will have the boys prepared but this is not going to be a cupcake 1st round.

It's not but they also don't have the NCAA Tourney experience that we do, the heartbreak of last year coming so close to MDW. We are a veteran laden team and will be ready for HU.

I love this bracket. Love it. We couldn't have gotten a better one.

Scores, playing styles, nothing matters. It's survive and advance time.

I'm waiting for the 1st person who says they should have been seed 4th or 5th. 😄

Definitely no cakewalk.

Personally speaking, I'd love to play Princeton again. That was one of our worst efforts. Understandable given the week we had, but another crack at them and I'd take us.

I watched a lot of Ivy lacrosse this weekend. Some good teams capable of beating us but none are Maryland. Bring it on.

Originally listed for Sunday at 2:30, Hobbs must have gotten with the NCAA about 10am Commencement, and the game has been flipped with Cornell-OhioSt and will now be at 5pm. PLENTY of time for the lots to clear out after commencement, and fans to get their tailgate on in the blue lot before 5PM draw.

I'm getting a sense they are pretty jazzed to play there. An overflow crowd there would be pretty wild. It won't have the same game day pyrotechnics if you will, but the crowd energy can and needs to be there. All teams feed off of it. With our style, I can't imagine a team feeding off of it more than us.

I enjoyed the venue for the womens soccer final (other than the loss) … music sounded pretty good and crowd was into it.

This also moves forward the thought that the team needs it's own stadium. Sooner rather than later.
Governor Murphy sitting on 3 Billion of covid $$$. Who has democratic connections there? It's going to get spent. Split some up in a jobs bill for lax/soccer-baseball-football-new Brower on Records Hall location

Just bought my plane tickets. Be back in town for the big game

I’m gonna have to work a few extra years simply because of my lacrosse travel.

But I wouldn’t miss it for the world.
Save some miles for a golf trip out here this summer!
