I believe he is. He killed it, at Miami’s camp.IF he can keep his acceleration and separation after he puts in 30+ pounds pounds he is going to be a match up nightmare. Is he enrolling early?
Not sure yet. What are his Heisman chances al?
Our offense desperately needs a TE that can attack the seam or at least pressure the middle of the field. I agree that this kid needs to quickly add muscle and bulk. Hopefully he can get on the field as a true freshman but that is rare at TE
Al, as usual your expectations are a bit optimistic. IMO he is NOT big enough to be a TE as a true freshman and I don't think he is fast enough to be a threat as a WR.He could be a Flex Tight End. He might also start out at WR. Wherever he is, is going to be a nightmare for opposing defenses.
Chance has nothing to do with it. It’s certain. Ain’t that right Fieldhouse Al ?What are his Heisman chances al?
How do you know if he isn’t “fast enough” to play WR?Al, as usual your expectations are a bit optimistic. IMO he is NOT big enough to be a TE as a true freshman and I don't think he is fast enough to be a threat as a WR.
Give him a year or so to put on some weight and he may become a TE threat for us.
Look for Strong and maybe Toure to become dynamic WRs next year. IF we get Miller from the transfer portal that would be HUGE!!!
Pretty sure he's being brought in as the "flex" guy. Al - or whoever said it - is right: he's gonna be a nightmare for other teams. Watch.Al, as usual your expectations are a bit optimistic. I really like what he brings to the table. I would love to see him at 225-230 for summer.Pretty sure he's being brought in as the "flex" guy. Al - or whoever said it - is right: he's gonna be a nightmare for other teams. Watch.
if he is only 200 now- 225-230 may be a tough go if he is doing it correctly. His goal should be 2 lbs max per month.I really like what he brings to the table. I would love to see him at 225-230 for summer.
He weighs probably about 205-210 right now. If he early enrolls in January 2-4 pounds is a basic minimum goal for most college training programs. thats 16-32 pounds put onto his frame.if he is only 200 now- 225-230 may be a tough go if he is doing it correctly. I's funny, when our son was in HS- he would play football at around 260-275 or so but by the end of basketball season, he would be down closer to 200. He always had to put weight on his frame once h got to Rutgers and then the pros.He weighs probably about 205-210 right now. Most high school athletes are not correctly eating or eating enough and once they actually hit their 3500 calories per day they sky rocket in strength and weight. He could easily be 225 by camp if not more.
That is brutal on the body, but seems like he did it the right way.I's funny, when our son was in HS- he would play football at around 260-275 or so but by the end of basketball season, he would be down closer to 200. He always had to put weight on his frame once h got to Rutgers and then the pros.
For many of us- sounds like a problem we would love to have...hahaha but he said he always just felt disgusting. His goal was usually about 2 lbs a month and he was eating 6500+ calories daily. And with very little fats.
Typical day would be 3 bananas, 2 cups of oatmeal, 12-16 egg whites with turkey. Protein drink before/after his first workout- protein bars and then 3-4 large chicken breasts, broccoli, brown rice some fruits - protein drinks again- before/after the 2nd workout, protein bars, dinner similar to his lunch, maybe a little more rice, he would sneak in a desert...
yeah- he was strict as heck when it came to his nutrition except for allowing himself to cheat with deserts. That is brutal on the body, but seems like he did it the right way.
The recruiting process has always been so brutal for football and basketball. It is now spilling over into other sports. I always try and support the kids as much as possible through it all, but it is mentally and physically brutal on all parties.yeah- he was strict as heck when it came to his nutrition except for allowing himself to cheat with deserts.
When he was first getting noticed in HS- he all of a sudden started putting on a ton of size right before his season started. Two things he didn't tell us as recruiting was picking up- one OL coach told him to put on weight by eating tons of bacon, mcdonalds, etc...When "Mom" found out, she laid into that coach like I had never seen before.
The other thing h didn't tell us is that a couple of the schools offering, told him that he already had committable offers from them and that if he camped, he would most likely not grade out well and he may lose those offers. It was such ********.
Combine that with a QB who can pick apart the middle and deliver a ball to Duff and things are looking up.Our offense desperately needs a TE that can attack the seam or at least pressure the middle of the field. Do you have 40 times on this guy? I'm just curious. Granted what I see here are limited and I really dont feel like looking for more, but Duff is cruising by these DBs. Plus he's got quick feet and looks to run crisp routes. Add to that he is tall with a monster wingspan. He certainly looks pretty darn good. Hopefully with a decent QB, he will be able to shine.Al, as usual your expectations are a bit optimistic. I'm kind of glad I had no clue about the process when we went through it- would have been so much more stressful. We would have HC's during OV's tell us h had to decide right then and there or they may have to move on to their next choice...Because we had no clue, we would laugh them off, tell them he is going to all of his OV's and will wait until he visits everyone before making a choice. He did take all his visits and very single school was calling him up to the point where we hit send on the fax.The recruiting process has always been so brutal for football and basketball. Coaches play so many games. I give my athletes (and their parents) a 10 page packet of going through the process.I'm kind of glad I had no clue about the process when we went through it- would have been so much more stressful. We are talking 2003/04 and actual discs set to teams- The HS Coach was good and he did his best to look out for him- but he knew "Mom" too well and knew he would never make another step in Mahwah if he did something wrong.Coaches play so many games. A long strider who eats up turf without effort is seen in videos. Some of those DB’s he’s going against are also D1 -P5 .Combine that with a QB who can pick apart the middle and deliver a ball to Duff and things are looking up.

Thee are times when a player may either look slow or lack effort- when they are very long and their strides are just so much longer- best example is not even football- but a guy like Carlos Beltran - guy seemed to just glide with no effort, so people often thought, no effort.A long strider who eats up turf without effort is seen in videos. If he’s a WR, he slots in nicely between Britt and Coleman. Doesn’t have Britts speed, but has better ball skills and hands than Coleman.Kenny Britt ?
Brandon Coleman ?
