Fanstake, not a bad idea to directly support an individual instead of a general fund and get the money returned if the individual doesn't pan out. Is the total stake publically viewed or seen only by the athlete? Publically viewed would lead to easy comparisons between vying schools and kind of lead to an auction of sorts as one fanbase tries to outbid the others. I'm not in favor of that aspect.
