MisterMean is not known for hyperbole and has seen a ton of backs up close over the last few decades. Thomasville’s back certainly doesn’t have the four years of proven success that TA did at Albemarle, but I can see why he reminds him of TA. Great speed and exceptional strength. I really don’t think he was saying they’re equals.

Goal is to pound SS this week and stay healthy. I like our chances against anyone with #1, #2, #3, #5 and #12 on the field. I would love to see #60, #70 at DT and #5 and #1 at DE going into the playoffs. Two real big athletic DT's and two very strong DE's. But we also need #1 and #5 at LB running wild.

I’ve seen both play several times. I’m not saying he’s as good as TA. Hard to make comparisons. But TA ran behind a tremendous line. It was the best line I’ve seen in 40 years of covering high school football until Eastern Randolph this year.
I couldn’t agree more! Albemarle had platoons of huge, athletic linemen! TA was special!…..and blessed with a great and deep offensive line!

If Eastern Randolphs’ line is that good….it’s a done deal!😉…..surely….they’re not as deep…as well?

They’ve got plenty of big bodies. When your center is 6-6, 330 and right guard is 6-6, 310, who’s going to stop you? I interviewed both of them after the SWR game. I’m 6-0, 215 and felt like I was paper thin next to them.lol

The Albermarle team with TA that beat down WRH was the best 1A team I’ve ever seen. Then you can follow it up with Albemarle and Thomasville teams from that era. The Blue and Red Dog games of that decade were something to behold. I don’t think at the time we all realized just how special of an era we were seeing. The physicality, speed, athleticism, and coaching by both were as elite as you could get.

Wow. That's very high praise. Especially from someone such as yourself.

Yeah, ER's line is not bad for a bunch of small fellers....

Sounds like ER is unbeatable!!
See the stuff above is from an impartial observer. Chute posted “We’ll see” and Griddle said “number of teams that could win it all”.
We don’t often talk about whooping anybody. Just let younguns do their best.

Guys I am thinking that we should partition the STATE to just go ahead and award the State Championship to ER!
I mean seriously. I take you fellows at your word that ER is head and shoulders above the rest of us.
We can all save a lot of gas, a lot of time and not risk any players to injury if we all agree and can get the State to do their part and declare the playoffs over.
By the way, would any one of your players name be Clark Kent?

You are flat out lying we have never said that. In fact the opposite. ER fans are the last ones crowing. We play one game at a time and respect everyone. So save your bs

Clark Kent is their QB, and of course, they have Ironman, Captain America, and their running back is the Flash according to these posters.
As much as MA fans like yourself have talked? We’ve said zero. We have a team that is very very good. But so do other schools. That’s why you play the games. So you guys aren’t going to sit here and make up lies about ER fans talking. And I sure don’t like the fact that you are insulting our kids, who are fine young men by the way, that’s about as low as you get.

It was sarcasm to the posters, not the team, Deleted ! ! !
I also think REWhitley probably was also, but not talking for him.

That’s fine. Just don’t lump ER fans and kids in. That’s totally against everything with the program. They don’t talk, they just work and play hard. If they win the title then great, if not we will shake the hands of who beats us and wish them the best. And that’s the way it should be

This years edition of Thomasville could be very surprising like the 2004 state championship team was, they were good, but we didn’t expect them to get on a run like they did, beat S,Stokes in the first round then went on the road and beat a very good Polk co. team then beat #1 Albemarle on the road, and a very good Maiden team on the road…and a Wallace Rose Hill team with a defense anchored by Nate Irving…I hope I have the teams right we beat in the playoffs that year

Most times a te.thays good that drop down to 1A seems to win it. Look at WRH and Tarboro when they dropped down.

When Thomasville first dropped down to 1A in the 1997 season they didn’t win a championship until 2004,they had very good teams just got beat in the playoffs…
