He is paid to win championships at Alabama, not do the right thing by other teams.

/And I hope the honey badger clotheslines him as he returns a pick-6.

I still think the coaches vote is a joke though and maybe there should be a rule that you don't get to vote in the final if you have a shot at the NC game

It would only be newsworthy if he dropped them a spot. I haven't been able to find a ballot breakdown for anything other than the final polls.

What the article doesn't say is how Alabama dropped in the polls that the BCS considers. Last week, Alabama had 2756 points in the Harris poll. For the final poll, 2723. That means that as many as 33 people changed their vote from last week to this week (out of 115 voters).

In the coaches' poll, Alabama had 1411 points last week and 1399 in the final, meaning 12 coaches dropped them to #3 this week (out of 59 voters).

Agood portion of voters (as many as 25%) droppedAlabama in their rankings. I assumemany did so to avoid a rematch in the championship game.

Here's the final coaches' poll ballot.

And here's the final Harris poll ballot. Note that two voters have Alabama at #4, behind Stanford. One of them, Todd Husak, played football at, you guessed it, Stanford. He now serves on their radio broadcast team. The other guy still had Houston as #8.

he can just state that Stanford's loss to Oregon (assuming he voted Stanford 3rd) was a better loss than OSU's loss to Iowa State.
