We had exchanged messages over the past few months and were supposed to get together for a drink, but he told me he had to hold off for a bit due to an issue

Thats truly very sad. His father had just passed away about 2mos ago. His mother is still alive..
No way! May I ask what happened? He was so active on the board and just an amazing person to chat with. Is this posted on the main board?
Just looked, he hadn't posted since Aug 23rd, but was supposedly "last seen" yesterday morning (which I guess means signed on).

Wow, this is a significant downer on my day. I will miss his presence here.
He talked about his family often on this forum.
Adult - recently relocated to PA so whole family was close by.
IIRC, he was retired and 60'ish? Definitely not that old.
Will post his obituary when available. Only 64. Grew up in Milltown, attended St. Peters HS (‘76) and RU ‘(80).
I am a little familiar with his family. Did not know him personally, but know other members of his family. He has children, and is a grandfather. As I mentioned above his father passed recently, and is survived by his mother.
Damn. No words. A gentleman and a great family man. And one of my favorite foils on here. You’ll be missed, NK.
@DJ Spanky - Now that the Temple game is over, this should probably be moved to the football board. I think a lot of non-CE posters know him as well.

His ability to concisely hit on the topics of the day with well thought out arguments was unmatched here. Plus he cut through alot of the ******** partisan posturing. Seemed like a guy who really valued the idea of family and would talk about his own often.. Not only a tremendous loss to our message board community but in life as well. RIP Northern Knight
