on how the organization has handled the Jimmy Graham situation?

The league arbitrator just officially ruled Graham as a TE, for franchise tag purposes. While I agree 100% with the decision, should the Saints have even let it come to this? Pay the man, pay the man like a big time WR. There's no kidding that he is the single biggest play maker on the team(not counting Brees). Do you think this will spurn him to not resign after this year?

It's all posturing and grandstanding on both sides, and that's the way these contract negotiations go these days. Rest assured, Graham will get paid and paid nicely. I will be absolutely shocked if he doesn't get signed to a deal and plays under the franchise tag this year.

I think they should have just franchised him as a WR. Why piss him off if you'll eventually pay him anyway? I just don't see the reasoning for the TE tag, and since he lines up at WR over 70% of the time (something like that) I understand his sentiment.

Easy to say you would pay him WR $ but as tight as we are against the cap it's not possible, going to be worse next years as both Cam Jordan, and Junior G hit their paydays. I like JG, he is great, but he is also a product of the system and he blocks about as well as the Dogs kick field goals.

I look for a deal around mid-July or before. Loomis is cool as a cucumber and it is in both parties' best interests to get a deal done. Somewhere in the 10.5 per year range with millions guaranteed.
