The Saints don't have many holes on their roster, but they could certainly use some upgrades on their defensive front. I think they'll take the best pass-rusher available. J.J. Watt, who happens to be the best player available, fills a huge need at defensive end across from Will Smith.

#56 New Orleans Saints: Mason Foster, OLB, Washington
The Saints need help at either weakside or middle linebacker. In this case, they can draft Mason Foster and keep Jonathan Vilma inside. Mason Foster had a great season and should now be in mid-Round 2 consideration.

#72 New Orleans Saints: Jordan Todman, RB, Connecticut
The Saints acquired this pick from the Redskins in the Jammal Brown trade. Why does it seem like all three of New Orleans' running backs are always injured? The Saints could use some stability at the position, and Jordan Todman is the best player available.

#88 New Orleans Saints: K.J. Wright, OLB, Mississippi State
Strongside linebacker isn't a huge need for the Saints right now, but it will be if they don't retain free agents Danny Clark, JoLonn Dunbar and Marvin Mitchell. And even if they do, there's room for improvement. K.J. Wright is one of the top players available.

the Saints always end up with Ole Miss players and the Falcons always end up with MSU players?

I would like to see the Saints get Chris White, for whatever it's worth.

I wish the Saints would get CW or KJ to break that trend, throw in Pernell to. Saints could use more help at DE too, LB's are must!

It doesn`t bother me how many Ole Miss players they`ve had but they sure haven`t shown MSU any love through the years. 17em.

a guy from the gym who is a huge saints fan was telling me a couple weeks ago that the stud lockdown corner for the raiders (i need help with the name) is a free agent and is originally from new orleans. Supposedly the guy had mentioned wanting to come back home which would be playing for the saints. Anyone heard any news on this?

Chris White isn't going to the Saints. I wish, but Vilma is a monster. Chris is going to play in the middle somewhere. We need OLB's, an OT, and a DE. I think drafting a RB would be a waste.

Won't happen. His contract demands will be too much. There
are bigger priorities than Asomugha(sp) and Jabari and Porter played
outstanding when the front 4/7 could generate anything that resembled a
pass rush.

Assuming the draft is correct and we do go OLB in the
2nd then I would really rather draft White. I think he could bring much
more to the table as a ILB in the 34 package and more on ST than Marvin
Mitchell.

The Saints have only had (as far as I can remember) 2
Ole Miss players on the roster. Jeremy Parnell (who is now with the
Eagles I believe) was a project for along time. The guy moved positions
5 times in camp and stayed on the PS. Kendrick Clancy was the other
who is not on the team anymore.

Ducre got a shot last
off-season, but was beat out by PJ Hill (who was just recently cut) and
Chris Ivory. The only other MSU player I remember the Saints giving a
shot is Willie Evans and he couldn't beat out Kendrick Clancy for a spot
on the roster.
