Soucie did a 40 min video interview with Sam Knox on IHSA and fall stuff. Nothing really new but if you want to hear some thoughts and "answer/non-answer" because everything is up in the air then it's worth your time.

The main takeaway I took from it that I hadn’t considered is the potential issues with referees and officials. We already have low numbers, and with them normally being older ages, we might run into serious trouble there
First basketball game I ever officiated was a game in which Knox's kid played in November, after the game he came down and we talked for about 30 minutes, giving me tips and just the future of officiating.. great guy
At the end of the day, one of the biggest questions we have to ask ourselves is, "are we OK with having some schools attend class/play sports, and have other schools not attend class/play sports?" If there are regulations in classrooms like having desks 6' apart, and mandating full face shields for football, some schools and districts will not be able to comply, whether it be from lack of space or lack of money. While we as fans might be cool with it, will the IHSA be cool with it?
