After serving as a UofL assistant from 2011-19, it's safe to say she knows Jeff pretty well. Plus, there's a Kentucky girl on UT's squad, from Frankfort, where I grew up. She averages about 20 minutes per game. Call me crazy, but I don't like how this one is shaping up.

Sam knows a lot about Walz's coaching style but Walz is the master at changing things up in a game if he sees something to take advantage of or something that isn't working. The key, as always, is whether the players make the adjustment successfully. Walz tends to blame himself when things go bad and it's obviously "coach-speak" to protect his players.
Stopping 6'6" center for UT Tamari Key could be a huge factor on how this game goes. Big centers (like Elizabeth Kitley and Elisa Cunane) have given the Cards a handful of problems this season.

We need to harass her like we did to Brittney Griner the year we went our second FF. That was a masterful coaching strategy.
I was impressed with Brooklyn Miles the girl from Kentucky. She is a smaller version of Mykasa Robinson she has a lot of energy but she didn’t play much. Tamari Keys might end up having a great game against us but she didn’t against Belmont. The Belmont guards drove the lane and had layups or midrange shots but they kept kicking it out for 3 pointers.
If they would have challenged the inside more they probably would of drawn more fouls on Tennessee. Belmont a much smaller team did better on rebounding. Tennessee never really pressured the ball except for Miles. I will be curious to see how Tennessee handles our defensive pressure.

Belmont was the team that blew it. I'd much rather be playing them. I tell ya, this one is going to be problematic.
Problematic in the fact UT is a #4 seed, has quality players and has had a very good season problematic? Sure. But, UofL has played teams with big post players. Did those players dominate us? No. Did they get their points and rebounds? Sure. If UofL shoots well from the outside (not necessarily 3s) this will open the lane allowing for our players to drive the lane. If they are missing their jump shots that will restrict what oir team can do for sure.

I have seen the same thing that you described in your post about Key being so critical to the Vols performance, as well as pointing out how past and present UL Women’s teams have struggled with keeping the opponent‘s “Bigs” from dominating on either both ends, or one of the other.
Creme commented earlier this week that he felt like “as goes Key, so goes the Lady Vols”. It is not necessarily her 10 or 11 points per game, as much as how much of their half court offense goes through her …… excellent court vision.

Also in a different thread I noted that when we should discuss Cochran and Dixon as a single unit or collectively as Jeff actual platoons them. They seldom play together. Using that as a statistical guide when comparing the post position, only with respect to blocked shots does Tamari Key lead the Olivia and Liz combo. She definitely is an excellent shot blocker. However, when looking at scoring and rebounding, Cochran/Dixon measure very well against Key. The two are clearly leaders with respect to assists and steals. One could argue that Cochran and Dixon possess court vision rivaling or exceeding that of Key.
It’s tournament time one loss and you go home our team knows that. Now is the time to play hard the whole game on both ends of the court. Play with swagger and attitude let Tennessee and all the other teams know they’re in trouble and let them know early. I am not overly impressed with Key’s for one thing she never jumps she is just tall. She is very slow it will be curious to see if she can play a fast pace game.
We really need to play really tough defense and if we have a lead in the 4th period we need to guard the 3 point line. It seems all the teams that came back on us in the 4th period was because we got lax in guarding the 3 point line. Another thing we do defensively that cost us is our stance when we are guarding a 3 point shooter. I don’t know why but we stand a few feet away from the player, we are hunched over in a low stance with one arm extended. Then the offensive player just shoots right over them. Once again rebounding will be the major factor in this and every game throughout the tournament.

The offer to be an assistant at Tenn. was more financially lucrative than to remain at EKU as a head coach.
