</div><div>That may be why Cohen wants to pitch Stratton. Throw him 4 or 5 innings and then have him available for game 3, 4, or 5.</div><div>

</div><div>
</div><div>After looking at the stat sheets of UAB and FSU.....UAB is garbage and has bad pitching, and FSU's bat look average with a solid pitching staff. The game is not played on paper, but going by the stat sheets, I would say we have the best, then Samford, then FSU, then UAB.</div><div>

50 pitches means he won't be entirely fresh in his next outings.

Our staff is loaded deep. We've beaten top 10 teams without Stratton this year. We'll be fine.</p>

I don't disagree with throwing Stratton against Samford, but don't let those HR numbers fool you their ballpark is tiny and the ball carriers very well there.

I checked their site and didn't see any dimensions.

Home runs, especially to RF, will be hit during this regional. And being matched up with a team like Samford that has ONE effing good pitcher just further **++# up our plans. I remember Ole Miss a few years ago got +*@#+* like that vs. Mizzou who had a 1st rounder that through against them.....pretty much killed their chances to take out the host team....think it was Miami.<div>
</div><div>I wish Samford would get cute and throw this Martin punk second game.</div>

Very few homers hit the fair poles or go out in straight away center. Actually the dimensions you give for Samford makes their left field foul pole and right field foul pole further away than ours. But what are their power alleys. UK's and Florida's are something like 365 to each power alley where as ours are 376 and 374. Vickerson's homers last year at Florida would not have been homers in Dudy Noble. I know it sounds like semantics, but most HR's go out from 20 feet fair to about 40 feet either side of the center field distance sign. Those dimensions start curving away from home plate pretty quick too.

Even if there is a Monday game, that's still only 2 days rest. You don't pitch someone on 2 days rest. Especially not someone with a possible major league career at stake.
