There is nothing more that screams "i am an *******" than open carry in a public place like a store.Openly Carrying a Firearm/Gun in Pennsylvania https://share.google/nTYZxwQZah4NObgw6
It's like porn, you'll know when you see it.Thanks , question is now why one needs to do so? Probably would not understand the answer?
I’m seeing your avatar, but I still don’t what it is.It's like porn, you'll know when you see it.
I agree 100%. But 7? I have two and they 38 states. How many do your 7 cover?I have concealed carry permits from 7 states including Pennsylvania and I would never open carry, even in states where it is allowed. If someone with bad intentions and a gun wants to do something bad with it, open carry makes me a candidate for his first victim.
Why carry? How many Walmart shootings have happened where innocent, unarmed victims get caught up in carnage and death? I travel to St Louis regularly and it isn't a picnic downtown. How many church shootings happen because the assumption by the criminal is that it is a soft target? I am not a soft target and if one of these aholes decides to try to take lives, they will get return fire back.
According to the US Concealed Carry web site, I can legally carry in 39 states. My home state, the bankrupt People's Republic of Illinois, does not reciprocate with any states so practically no state reciprocates with them. Some states will reciprocate with other states if you have a resident permit from them, but not if you have a non-resident permit from them.I agree 100%. But 7? I have two and they 38 states. ironically of the 12 that aren’t covered, 6 are right around me with most being very hard core anti gun.
I use the same map, the app version. I have PA and a non-resident FL and I am covered in 38 states. Some have some restrictions.According to the US Concealed Carry web site, I can legally carry in 39 states. There is a bit of overkill, but the laws constantly change, and I am pretty well covered in states that actually believe in the 2nd Amendment being a right. I have permits from PA, ME, NH, IL, VA, FL, and UT. If the Supreme Court ever finally settles things once and for all, then perhaps there is hope of someday carrying in the other 11 states. Until then, if you are in a situation in one of those states where seconds matter, the police will be minutes away to show up and notify your next of kin.
Are you certain you can conceal carry in 38 states? Try this map and put in the states you have your permit from and see what the results are:
US Concealed Carry Reciprocity Maps
Virginia, Florida, Utah and Arizona are good states for being able to carry in a lot of states with one of their permits.
Ah, though I come up with 39 no restrictions for myself according to the web version. When I run it on the web version with your states, I get 36 with the difference being South Carolina and Maine. I wonder what is causing those different results? Ah well, just goes to show that you need to check a state's laws yourself if you are going to travel there and not just rely on this particular site's results.I use the same map, the app version. btw, when i out in your permits I count 40, not 39. I think the main difference is IL and WA that don’t count for me.
I realized they are different sites, mine is USCCA yours is USACarryAh, though I come up with 39 no restrictions for myself according to the web version. Pretty good third grade analysis of the full picture. If the Supreme Court ever finally settles things once and for all, then perhaps there is hope of someday carrying in the other 11 states. Riiiiight. 7 permits and yet 11 states where you still can't legally carry. And the average gun fight lasts 3 seconds with 7 shots fired. Stick to what you know and remain silent.Pretty good third grade analysis of the full picture.
What full picture are you referring to in your insult?Pretty good third grade analysis of the full picture.
Geez, I didn’t know it was an insult - for all I know you may have only made it to 2nd grade. What full picture are you referring to in your insult?
Only in your dreams.Riiiiight. 7 permits and yet 11 states where you still can't legally carry. And the average gun fight lasts 3 seconds with 7 shots fired. Stick to what you know and remain silent.
I'm not sure this is the insult you hope it is.it must be awful walking around so scared of minute possibilities all the time. i hope you're doing ok mentally; i realize how stressful that must be.
The "new" forum reminds me of a situation in my early days. Wife was Clarion, I was PS. We followed wrestling from the 60's, she is now solid PS. We were original members of the Wrestling Club, I think dues were $25. We could get tickets to tourneys through the wrestling club.Okay, here’s my POV. We’ve been asked to keep politics off the board. While elected officials haven’t been brought in (thank you), this baby is on the precipice because it’s a divisive topic where differences are more serious than what can pass for carbonara.
Let’s take this back. No, I’m not a mod. And no, my POV does not reflect that of our mod(s). But if you believe in self-policing (wouldn’t it be ironic if those that I’m talking to don’t?) then consider this a single member’s request to drop it without mod intervention.
Was that an allegory on a wrestling board? Before this turns ugly, we don't like fancy stories that have moral-to-the-story aspects to it. We prefer to grunt and scratch our backsides and talk about how tasty our fried intestines are gonna be when we go to Palermo. Please show some refinement here. The "new" forum reminds me of a situation in my early days. Wife was Clarion, I was PS. We followed wrestling from the 60's, she is now solid PS. Went to a tourney, the arena was like half full. Found our PS seats. A couple sat next to us and we shot the breeze. The PS people all around us were talking wine and cheese stuff. My new friend says to me, I'm moving to the other side, I say, we're with you. We moved and sat in the Lock Haven section and talked wrestling. No problem.
Isn't that like from Pittsburgh to Columbus?if you guys have run out of topics to talk about, there’s always the Middle East!![]()
allegories are ornery on account of because they have all them teeth and no toothbrush. or so I’ve heard. Was that an allegory on a wrestling board? …
I was thinking Virginia to N. Carolina.Isn't that like from Pittsburgh to Columbus?
I love 90% of the stuff here but it's a wrestling board. My personal opinion is the Starocci thread is the worst thread I have ever seen here. Was that an allegory on a wrestling board? PS. - I'm from Lock Haven. Wine is made with dandelion and cheese is Velveeta.
lol velveeta is not cheese although its good for cooking PSU1985 you better check the ingredients!I love 90% of the stuff here but it's a wrestling board. My personal opinion is the Starocci thread is the worst thread I have ever seen here.
I don't participate in it, just like I did when I moved over to the Lock haven people. I love the inside info about wrestling here, people are extremely knowledgeable. Pardon me if I skip over the other 10% of the threads.
Being 77 years old I learned to make dandelion wine early on, even made elde-blow wine from the blossoms of elderberries. You are aware that drinking wine from the blossoms makes one go crazy.
Wife and I stick to beer now, I want a big glass of Guiness before I pass away.
See, I can talk about non-wrestling stuff too, I'm just beeoaiinncching about 10% of the posts.
Go with Old Rasputin rather than Guinness. A different stout but far better imho. I had dandelion wine in college.I love 90% of the stuff here but it's a wrestling board. My personal opinion is the Starocci thread is the worst thread I have ever seen here.

I know it's not cheese. It was a subtle dig at my long dead dad, who insisted that Velveeta was cheese. The thing I like best about this forum is its subtlety in conversation. I am a cheese connoisseur, so stay far away from Velveeta.lol velveeta is not cheese although its good for cooking PSU1985 you better check the ingredients!

There is a church full of people very happy that a good guy with a gun was "scared of minute possibilities." I am doing just fine mentally. In fact, I had to have mental screenings and record checks for both some of my concealed carry permits and for my Top Secret clearance. You are the one that needs to visit a shrink to determine why you have a need to pontificate and make assumptions about someone you don't know.
Armed hero stops masked ‘church shooter’ with a hail of perfectly-aimed bullets…
There’s a very specific kind of mass shooting story the media doesn’t like to cover… it’s the kind that doesn’t happen because a good guy with a gun stopped it cold.
Roughly a month ago, a man stormed into a Michigan church during Sunday worship and opened fire. It could have ended in total carnage. But it didn’t. Because a legally armed, everyday churchgoer took him down. No military training. No law enforcement background. Just courage, quick action, and a gun.
This should have been front-page news. It wasn’t. And we all know why… because it doesn’t fit the left’s anti-gun agenda. They’d rather Americans believe that firearms are the problem, not the psychopaths who use them. But the truth is, more often than not, guns save lives. That’s not just a marketing slogan. It’s a fact.
The gun control lobby loves to promise safety, but all it’s really delivered is more victims. Disarmed citizens, soft targets, and a culture of helplessness. The left has built a society where law-abiding people are told to sit still, pray for mercy, and wait for the cops—while criminals do whatever they want with whatever weapon they can get their hands on.
Guns, knives, machetes, acid, bombs—you name it—evil will always find a tool. But the difference between life and death is what good people have at their disposal. Thankfully, we live in a country where the right to bear arms still exists—and millions of Americans take that responsibility seriously.
Contrary to the media’s fear-mongering, the overwhelming majority of gun owners are good, moral, responsible people. Concealed carriers especially. And here’s the proof, straight from Charlie Kirk:
So no, it’s not “more laws” we need. It’s more men and women like this next hero we’re about to tell you about.
According to a report from ABC News, a legally armed churchgoer named Jay Trombley prevented what could’ve easily been a mass casualty event inside a house of worship.
ABC News:
So, the shooter got off ten shots while families were sitting in pews. This could’ve ended in a complete bloodbath, if not for one thing: a good guy with a gun.
This is exactly the scenario gun control activists pretend doesn’t exist. But it does, and it happens a lot more often than they want to admit. It’s also proof that armed citizens aren’t the problem; they’re the solution. You don’t need a badge to protect your community. You just need courage, clarity, and the right to carry.
The other church member who was struck is expected to recover after surgery. But this story runs even deeper. Turns out, the shooter, identified as Brian Browning, had a connection to the church.
The ABC News piece goes on:
Here’s Mr. Trombley, in his own words, describing what happened that fateful day:
Clearly, God’s timing and the one-armed man saved lives that day.
According to police, Browning had no criminal history but appeared to be in the middle of a mental health breakdown. Nobody is sure of his motive. But here’s what actually is clear: the only thing that stopped him from turning that church into a mass grave was a legally armed citizen who was ready, trained, and able to fight back.
This is why the Second Amendment matters. This is why we carry. And this is exactly why the media doesn’t rush to report these stories.
Because the truth is simple: guns in the hands of good people save lives.
Well guess that struck a nerve for you lolWhat did this post and your one before it contribute to this thread? Nothing. Yet there you were, posting useless drivel. Carry on.
Can we please not. I don't need to be astroturfed into gun control/gun rights conversations. There's no changing minds here.
