Well I'm not a bit surprised that he has declared for the draft. Too bad because we have a chance to be just as good if not better next year. It will be interesting to see where he gets drafted

I disagree, I thought he would come back. Oh well, gotta have the next guy in line philosophy. If we don't get things fixed in the trenches its not gonna matter

I think you are right on Forney. I think he will look back and wish he had stayed at OU for his senior year.

Sanchez is small. That's his biggest liability, and was the source of most of his problems in college.

I really like Sanchez and defended him against the haters many times this season. But even if he came back, he'd still have a size problem.

I just don't see many NFL teams looking at him at all to draft. There's a big physical gap there that gave him enough troubles in college, much less the pro ranks. He might be able to play in some nickel packages against slot guys like Edelman, but how many teams have positions for converted college corners that can't also play run stop?

I wish he would come back. He's not perfect and I know it's been hashed out on here countless times, but he's a damn solid corner that with him leaving it will hurt the team next year, not help. I wish the guy the best in the NFL. I worry though that his issues in tackling will really damage his draft stock.

He had a great career but the Sooners are loaded with talent at DB.

I thought he'd come back but I'm not shocked he's leaving.

Many of these guys just think they are much better than what they actually are. In my opinion, he should have waited, consulted coaches, and received a grade of where he would most likely be drafted. Maybe this was based partly on emotions

I guess he figured another year would not benefit him? I hope for his sake he does get drafted since he's leaving early.

I think he should have stayed for another year. He has great ball skills, but he isn't an NFL caliber cover corner. Best case scenario for his is probably a 7th round pick. More than likely he will be an undrafted free agent.

Backatcha, ia & Company! I FEEL the Love! No way 'Youse Guys' can realize how much I enjoy being a part of this Special Family! I didn't 'Come Out' for several years...Afraid I'd cramp the style of those who might be intimidated by having a Filly in the barn. After being married to, and then raising Athletes, there is very little that is said, or done, that is shocking. I miss those days, in a big way, and I Thank ALL of You for welcoming me, and allowing me to be a part of this Super Team! It's put the FUN back into Dysfunctional, as the later years sometimes become...

THANKS for the Kind Words...Happy 2016...Hope it's the BEST, yet, for EVERY ONE of You!

Remember Madamme; we love & need those memories immortalized and your final grade will not be tendered for quite awhile. Did you have to go on 2-day bus rides or long and treacherous plane flights on long away trips ?

Zack appears to be one of the more controversial players we've had in a long time. Many are asking him to reconsider going for the NFL Draft; Others say they are glad he's going.

Interesting that we have Posters, here, who have expressed feelings similar to both sides...

Every eligible junior starter got that very evaluation already. Bob talked about that a couple of weeks ago. I think Sanchez has a chance to be a decent pro. Most NFL corner types aren't great tacklers against running backs, and can still make good living in the NFL if they can cover. I'm anxious to see what his 40 time is. We might be surprised.

I agree with the sentiment that he might have improved his draft stock had he returned. I'd be surprised if he is a starting lineup corner next season, but I believe he'll make a team. The NFL is as pass crazy as college football and every team needs at least five guy who can play corner or nickel corner who can cover a receiver in the slot. He's smart with excellent ball skills.

I also thought he played pretty well against Clemson, when most of the defense was struggling. He has his degree. I was surprised he came out, but even Tony Jefferson, who had his struggles at OU, came out early and had a horrible combine, stuck in the NFL. He is in the regular DB rotation for a team that has a great chance to make the Super Bowl this season.

I've said this before concerning players declaring early. Put yourself in their shoes.

A. Stay another year in college, study hard every night, listen to assistant professors lecture (since professors rarely show up), work hard, play hard for not much more than a scholarship and some meals. Live in a small room with another guy.

B. Make big $$$ while you're still young and able. No homework. No blow hard assistant professors. Work hard. Play hard. Get rewarded. Live in fine housing. Then when your day is done, go back and get that degree if you so desire.

Hmmmm. Now let me think.

Good luck Zack. Thank you for being a great Sooner.

I've always agreed with this. Well, as long as the player is going to make good money with the decision to leave early. I hear all the time from people that criticize when a bigtime player leaves early and how that education is more important than money. While I do agree with that thinking, it also ignores the millions some of these kids will make by coming out early. MILLIONS!!! Like you said 22, they can always go back and get their education later, and will have enough money in the bank to pay for it themselves and still be WAY ahead.

Well I'm sure most of us on here went to college and studied hard every night and listened to professors. I personally wish I could go back and do it all over again because it is some of the best times of your life. There is no guarantee Zack will make big bucks or even make a team. He may be harshly introduced to big time professional sports and wish he was at OU again. Its his life though so he certainly has the right to take that chance. All I'm saying is that he may regret it.

I still have nightmares about college. That final exam and not being at all prepared. Not being able to find the building or a classroom where I am supposed to be. Not knowing my class schedule. Not me BW, I never wanted to go back. The learning never stops, and continuing education is something all together different. I enjoy that.

Really? I lived on campus for 4 yrs. Of course it wasn't all good but the majority of it was great. I'm guessing that Sanchez had a pretty good time and will really miss it one day.

Best wishes but Sanchez would have benefited from another year at OU. Not out of the question that he is going to be a late round draft pick.
