For some reason I was thinking they'd let you in on game days. Reason I ask is I'll be up there for the game Thursday and wanted to work out there. Oh well…

We have never had an issue, sometimes they make us pay 5 bucks a person and fillout a guest form. I took 6- 12 years olds and they we very nice at the door. We had our own basketball so didnt needthe form . I guess it's hit or miss. I think you can bring a guest if you're a member.( for 5 bucks,)One of the Staff has sponsored us un the past.
Just go to the desk and act dumb. That's how we get in.

The folks working there are dedicate and are fixing basically gym equipment now up to 12 years old. These same folksthat are suppose to be helping with weight or aerobic training are now seen fixing equipment or putting out of order signs on the equipment. No one is sure why admin does not give a crap. Do they not know this is a selling point for new student and they see the old craptastic equipment during the tours? They continue to fixthe equipment up and change pads but it is old for the most part. Budget for repairs etc.. isterrible. They could really makethe Sanderson Centera showcase but is becoming second fiddle. Sopaying $5.00 a workout per person helps themkeep things fromcompletely falling apart. They reallyneedsomeone to donate $300,000-$500,000 to fixthe SandersonCenter up andbring it back to alevel more equaltonewer facilities at our state universities.

...and it cost about $350.00 per year, plus $50 per year for a locker.

As an alumni, you have access but have to pay for it. They do have some exceptions, like during student breaks, when they may have a promotional campaign to increase membership or during basketball camps in the summer. I think there is a daily fee which is available, but am not sure what it is. Someone in a previous post mentioned $5.00 or $10.00, but I don't know what it is anymore. You can go in as a guest of another member, if the member is with you for a nominal fee, I think $5.00.

So i don't see why they would let you in for free during the summer, at a time when you aren't going to school?

There's no reason that alumni should have some right to work out there for free. It's not like any of us paid anything for that builiding (unlessoneof the Sandersonsis posting on SPS).
