I want to say fire him, but unfortunately he doesn't work the Pac12 conference. I doubt they could even fine or reprimand him, or even his university. So I say fire the guy that approved him as their delegate for this vote.

It's also come out that Texas State's AD, who is the Sun Belt's representative voted against the wishes of the majority of his conference(including his own coach), although the Sun Belt's commissioner says he was free to vote however he wanted(which seems like a copout). Both have defended their votes by saying they didn't effect the outcome. That's true on an individual basis, but had both the Pac-12 and Sun Belt's representatives changed their votes to represent the will of their conference members, the proposal to ban the camps would have failed on an 8-7 vote. This thing stinks to high heaven the more you hear about it.

I'll bet his mom lives in a new trailer and was just newly hired in the Alabama football office too.

UCLA AD explained his vote yesterday and the explanation made some sense. But don't let that stop anyone from ripping him.

Expand please? What did he say that made sense?

I don't care how much sense it makes (whatever he said), when you are the Lone Ranger going against the other 11 schools in your conference, you deserve to be ripped a little...

You deserve more than that. You really deserve to be shown the door. That is highly irresponsible.

It doesn't matter what his logic was. In this circumstance, there is only one logic to follow: PAC12 voted 11-1 for satellite camps. As their representative, that is how you are supposed to cast your vote. Guy should maybe get a job with Hillary's campaign/DNC office.

I was listening to one of the national shows today. What they actually voted on was 2 proposals. One by the $EC, and one by the NCAA to end satellite camps. That is where the 11-1 number was involved. They did not want to blindly agree and shut it all down. Palms got greased, big-time. That much is painfully obvious.

This is just a small example of how 'representative democracy' actually works. This kind of stuff happens all the time in your state and federal elections. Just watch how delegates get re-assigned. The 'vote' of the people is pretty much just for show anymore. It's all about money and how much it is going to cost.

Came here to post this...don't think it will get that far where the DOJ really has to get involved but I think the DOJ "interest" will be enough that things go in the other direction and quickly

If "made some sense" is the same thing as "made no sense whatsoever and resembled rambling" then his explanation indeed made some sense.

That ban is going to be lifted. And when it is, I am betting there is going to be a heightened interest nationally for holding satellite camps. The SEC might have overreached on this issue.

That when just might be by Friday. One thing I didn't know, until recently, is that the rule can still be shot down by the "D1 Board of Directors." This committee is made up of mostly university presidents...the one AD rep happens to be Northwestern's AD. They meet tomorrow and according to the interwebs there is a good chance we find out on Friday that the rule has been rejected.
