A timely hit in a couple places last night and we're a lock to host, but its not all bad. Almost everything else that happened around the nation went in our favor, so we did not lose any ground.

National Seeds
1. Vanderbilt (lock)
2. North Carolina (lock)
3. LSU (lock)
4. Virginia (lock)
5. Florida State (probable lock)
6. Oregon State (probable lock)
7. Cal State Fullerton (lock)
8. Oregon

On the Bubble for National Seed
Louisville
North Carolina State

National Seed Analysis: Florida State probably wrapped it up with a win over Clemson last night, but another win today and it is a stone cold lock). Oregon took the first game from Oregon State, and can feel good if they can find a way to take 2 of the next 3 from their rivals. N.C. State is probably out with the FSU win, but Louisville is an interesting story. They have won 15 in a row and seem like an unorthodox national seed. Plus, they are a natural fit with Indiana as a Super Regional matchup that could produce a non-traditional power in the CWS. Watch Louisville as a possible surprise national seed, but who do they upend?

As Louisville and NC State are sure fire locks to host, that leaves six host spots to fill. There are three more locks/probable locks.

Indiana (needs one to lock)
UCLA (lock)
South Carolina (probable)

Indiana's high RPI and geography will give them a lock, but they have to win the final two against Ohio State to win the Big Ten. UCLA really needs to go 2-3 against USC and Stanford to justify hosting. South Carolina probably wrapped it up with their win last night, but a loss today could be a factor.

So, three more spots. Let's look at the six teams that are vying for those spots.

Top Side of the Bubble
Kansas State. They need one win over Oklahoma to lock it up. A win would give them a Big 12 title to go with their #19 RPI.
Clemson. Another team that can lock it up if they can find a way to beat FSU today. If Clemson wins today, they win their division, over a national seed lock FSU.
Arizona State. Lost to Arizona last night, but got some help to stay safe. Needs to win series against Arizona.

Bottom Side of the Bubble
Mississippi State. Must win today against South Carolina and get some help from Florida State and/or Oklahoma.
Arkansas. Third place team in the SEC. Record is good. #46 RPI is not good. Have to win against Auburn today and get some help on the other side of the bubble.
South Alabama. If they would have won last night, they would be on the top side and ASU would have been here. They have got to win the series against Troy. USA has no chance to host unless they are the outright Sun Belt champion. That can't happen if Troy wins the series.

This is by far the biggest game I have been a part of... I keep saying we are about to find out what this team is made of, but today, we are... definite. You will see nothing held back today... we are going all out... must win, championship game 7 type stuff... win or go home. I'm pumped, man.

I think if we win today, beat Mizzou/UK on Tuesday, and beat SC on Wednesday, we are going to host.

If we do that and then get a win against Vandy on Thursday, we are a stone cold lock.
