They played no one for about 3 months except Clemson who beat them. UL had them on the ropes in the ACC championship. I think it’s fair to have some questions about how good they really were.

But they can't help that. They can only play who is on the schedule. And in those games they didn't just go 19-1 in the ACC, they outscored their opponents by 0.33 points per possession.

You don't see numbers like that in power conferences. Even weak ones.

I really don't think they have gotten a favorable whistle least not here. I think it's been fairly even here.

It's been a even whistle. Anyone saying Duke is getting called is letting bias get the best of them. Obviously no game is perfect and there have been bad calls, but it's not favoring Duke.

I wouldn't necessarily go that far.

But I don't think people realized just how good they were.

That team was another level. Only rivaled by maybe the Fab Five at Michigan. Even then, I'd have love to see 2015 vs. Fab Five. Would have been epic (without Higgins).

Unfortunately they’re just a very complete team. They have shooters, multiple playmakers and are very good at protecting the rim. Normally that is going to win a lot of games.

It's not completely apples to apples to compare Kenpom ratings across years because the rating is based off the baseline of the perfectly "average" team from that year, but Duke's Kenpom rating right now is actually quite a bit higher than ours from 2015. I've been saying on this board all year long Duke looks like they're one of the most elite teams of the last decade or so and been met with nothing but laughing emojis and troll allegations lol.

That's not to say they'll win a title, because college basketball history is littered with some of the most elite teams of all time not winning a title, but they are a really really great team this year.

What's wild is back in 2015 we finished with an EM of +36.91.

Given how well Vegas tends to match up........it is not out of the realm of possibility if 2025 Duke and 2015 UK matched up, they might be favored by 1 pt.

I think Alabama is very good. They have been very good all season long.

They just 1) aren't quite Duke and 2) aren't quite at the level of the other 1 seeds as well.
