They were willing to give up midrange twos but Bama doesn’t shoot those or beat you that way , game over from start,

Bama has no counter to their 3 point attack when run off line and the refs don’t fall for Sears flop

Duke had 2 weeks to prepare for them

Everyone here always likes to discount Kenpom ratings, but they are often incredibly accurate compared to performance on the court. The 8 top Kenpom teams pre-tournament were the 8 that made the Elite 8.
I mean they’re all 1 & 2 seeds but yeah.

Sears has to be point shaving right? Can’t think of a time I’ve seen a guy basically unable to miss to unable to make anything, turning it over constantly, looking like he is just figuring out the game.

Duke built a pretty damn good team around a Stud Freshman.... kind of the approach I wanted Cal to do for years.
Yeah it’s a perfect strategy. It’s pretty obvious thing to do if you have the money and can get talent to sit on the bench. Bama had plenty of it but they have been shut down tonight.

Bama is not "new blood" lol ... just another FB school with dreams
Agreed.

Auburn, Tennessee, and Bama need to earn new blood distinction with a national championship. Until then, they are just good teams who have not gone all the way. Could still happen for Auburn or UT this year, though.

I’m curious what UK fans consider UF’s basketball program status to be.

They are frustrating him with length. He’s not been bailed out falling down all game.
He’s missed two front ends and plenty of wide open 3s. I agree the length has bother his drives but he’s had plenty of opportunities to not be 2-11 6 pts 1-3 from the line.

I have always considered Florida to be the class of the SEC behind Kentucky since I’ve been alive. Arkansas would be up there but they had a long drought after the 90”s run.

Shooters like to find a rhythm. Duke has made that impossible for him to do that.

This is hard to believe considering you can’t win with 3 freshmen starting, Flagg being overrated, scheyer not being able to coach, and Duke not being battle tested. Weird!!

A football school that’s hired several damn good coaches and has a nice base to recruit out of.
