Alcorn State beat Mississippi State 80-78.

1. After the whiskey bottle was thrown on the court by the Alcorn State Section the officials "swallowed" their whistles
2. First time I ever heard the "who dat" cheer.

I really think the Saints stole who dat from the Braves of Alcorn State.

But Jim Hatfield was an idiot who wasted a lot of MSU talent. I do remember the Who Dat cheer though and it was the first time I had ever heard it.

...and he was still chapped about that game (as was I). A fitting end to a year that was not quite good enough to make the NCAA ("bubble" team back then with a lot fewer teams in the NCAA).
