I don’t really see the connection between what the Saudis are doing and college football.
Yes, there have been owners of European soccer clubs that have had success, but the success is usually accompanied with criticism of the ownership.
Where the “sports washing” of their oil money has been successful is by controlling where athletes compete. The LIV tour got them to play in new events run by the Saudis. The big push in soccer is getting guys who are at the age of getting their last big contract, or older, to go play in the Saudi socccer league.
It’s not like they are going get college football games moved, or start a new college that is going to be relevant in college football .
