74,000? Where the hell was this “game” played?

I'm already tired of Banana ball, but I absolutely salute Jesse Cole for his creation. His bio is quite a story, drawing inspiration from PT Barnum and Bill Veeck.

The “NFL” stadium
The Panthers stadium? I’m pretty sure that’s not typically configurable for baseball (like the Superdome used to be). Not that it really matters for an event like this, but I bet there were some wacky dimensions on the foul lines and outfield boundary.

One of my kids saw they were in the espn app and asked to watch.
She hasn't asked to watch a baseball game in her life, but wanted to watch this.
She knew of it from Instagram clips and knew various players as well as their 'schtick'.
It was played in Nashville at the football stadium and was 17ing packed.

It is entertaining if you have 10 year olds or younger.
It's 2 hours of randomness. Just total randomness.

Their key demographics are groups of single women looking to 'party' and adhd kids.

When it comes to the Bananas, the wackier the better.

I’ve tried to watch with my kids and i can ignore all the dancing and what not. I get it. Kids like it. But I couldn’t figure out how the hell the scoring works so I don’t think I’m watching anymore.

Who ever has the most runs in each inning wins the inning 1 to 0. Except for the 9th inning when all runs count toward the total.

Each team wins “innings” regardless if they outscore the other team 1-0 or 10-0. Then the last inning is more traditional and all runs count.

There’s probably some nuance there, but that’s the gist of it.

It's really fun to go to. It's not scripted from the standpoint of who wins and who loses.

It’s definitely not my thing but have no idea why people get their pu$$ies so chapped about what other people want to do for entertainment.

obviously they are entertaining to someone bc they are always sold out.

How can you be tired of something you can easily avoid and not watch?

unless you have a kid or wife who demands you go with them?

These are the same people who complain about too many bowl games, as if a gun pointed at their heads is making them watch them.

I honestly wish there were less bowl games so it would mean something but I mean who cares.
No skin off my back either way

Ok, do they get extra points/runs for making a play like snap it to 1st between their or back flip to catch a fly ball?

They have a separate score for Trick Plays Made. Basically the game is broken down into innings. Whoever "wins" the most innings wins the game. Trick Plays are scored for the novelty of it. It doesn't impact who wins and loses.

I don't know why I'm getting a hard time from you guys for phrasing it that way. The clips and coverage used to interest me. Now it doesn't, so I don't watch it. I'm not complaining about it.

I did like it better when they were in a legit league and the banana ball stuff was more like a side thing.

But, like I said, good for the Coles for creating something a lot of people enjoy watching for now

Y’all need to look deeper.

What the Bananas are exposing, is the lack of FUN in youth baseball. You’d think we as parents would take the hint but to date, we have not. And it’s not changing, at least anytime soon. So embrace the hardcore lessons, parents.

Come at me with the travel ball support @Drebin. That’s a joke, by the way.

So you are tired of it or you aren’t? All you have to do is hot watch. It’s real easy!

Maybe you and your super high IQ should reread his earlier post. He spells it out pretty clearly.

He used to watch it. He got tired of it. Now he doesn't watch it anymore.

Should be pretty straightforward for someone as smart as you.
His original post didn’t spell out anything.

Just seems weird! But thanks for the explanation sandy wolf.
