Can we come up with issues for other schools that will encourage them to support the bell. For example, we stay quiet about the Heisman candidate's recruiting if his school supports the bell. Any ideas?
The only way to save them is to get the media involved. I wish Mullen would have brought some cowbells with him to ESPN when he went earlier this year. If we somehow are ranked after Bama, and Arkansas comes in ranked then maybe Scott will send the Gameday crew a box of them. Then when they are talking about our game they can explain what's going on with them and maybe turn some more of the media pro-cowbell. I think that through expanding the reputation of the cowbell as a great Mississippi State tradition and not a way of cheating, we could gain enough leverage to overturn the SEC's view of them.
