he is definitely a load to block and disrupted a number of plays. I am unaware of his final stats, but the most noticeable thing is at this point in the season he is completely out of shape ala Renardo Sidney. He looked very tired even at halftime, and as the game progressed he and many of his Morton teammates were cramping and could be seen with hands on hips.... many times it was hands on knees between plays. Philadelphia really pounded right at Evans and by game's end he was exhausted. He must get into better shape, or it will be a very disappointing season. The play he looked best on was an INT by a teammate during which he ran hard and fast downfield to block Many times he gave extremely poor effort. Philadelphia won the game 21-18 after falling behind 18-8 with 10 minutes to play. I was surprised that Philadelphia actually looked to be the more physical football team. They deserved to win.

They can develop and condition players. If Quay comes to MSU, I think he would be a great addition.

one cannot develop size and athleticism along with it. Evans has both...even looked quite fast on the INT by Morton. I went to see one of the best defensive tackles in the country according to the "experts" and was quite disappointed. Plainly put, Philadelphia just wore him out...then he wanted to cheap shot folks and in the end he just plain quit. Of course this is just one game and by the end of September he may be an animal. If not, he is not one to count on to step in and play his first year in the SEC.

his senior year. What is it about these all world recruits that when they start leaning towards MSU, they suddenly start sucking and no one wants them anymore?
