that USM has the highest percentage of applicants that eventually enroll. Very misleading statistic. It doesn't come down to State, Ole Miss or USM for many students. State and Ole Miss compete with each other and with bigger name schools. USM competes on a tier below. To be fair to USM, Mississippi kids that are interested in USM's stronger programs, such as performing arts, aren't applying to State or Ole Miss.

It's like they give out scholarships to guys who have beards and wear t-shirts, sweaters and skinny jeans. They're everywhere here. Apparently that's a major at USM- Barista Studies.

They say that there may be more girls, but they are not the girls you want to see. All the attractive ones go to TSUN or MSU.

My daughter is a high school senior and valedictorian who has been checkingout a lot of schools. USM has its flaws, but the Honors College is not one of the flaws.
And don't accuse me of being an apologist forUSM. I like them more than the plantation but that if as far as it goes.

...and the Honors College does great work.1

1And I'm glad you've said this first since I've previously been accused of being a USM apologist since one of mydegrees is from there-- which would probably make me even more biased than I am often stereotypically portrayed to be.

Running around in the background with a squeaky voice and pimples is USM screaming: "Look at me. For the love of God, look at me."

I lived in Starkville for 8 1/2 years. Graduated twice.Took ajob in Hattiesburg and moved hereyoung, single and social. That was about8 years ago.

Starkville does have a much better league of women.

The thing about Hattiesburg is that the guys in the cheap seats getlaid too.

but 17 the cheap seats.
