My wife's grandma lives in Calhoun City, about an hour away, and the people there are very friendly.
When we go to Thanksgiving there, we have three hours in the afternoon where her extended family practices Combinatorial Mathematics, ensuring every possible combination of relative has had their picture taken with every other possible combination of relative, and with every available camera. All the sons, then all the daughters, then all the cousins, then all the female cousins, then the female cousins with the sons, then the male cousins with grandma, etc. It's really quite a bonanza. Then when the 2nd and 3rd hour rolls around, everyone sits on the porch trying to think of a relative-combination we've missed. The best part is that every 15 minutes or so, someone drives past in a jacked up pickup truck painted camo and honks their horn, at which time everyone stops what they're doing and waves politely.
It's really quite an experience. Also, she lives in a dry county, which really adds to how relaxing the whole experience is.
