Besides- if our staff can't spell Mississippi right, how can we expect others to?

They got the whole thing backwards:

Their post: "They banned the State Senator Alum that shouted racial slurs at his own players after a loss to Ole Miss a few years ago. I think that was the right thing to do."

What happened: In 1996, Brad Lott, a UM alum, shouted racial slurs at Mississippi State players while MSU was beating UM 17-0. UM later banned him.

My wife's grandma lives in Calhoun City, about an hour away, and the people there are very friendly.

When we go to Thanksgiving there, we have three hours in the afternoon where her extended family practices Combinatorial Mathematics, ensuring every possible combination of relative has had their picture taken with every other possible combination of relative, and with every available camera. All the sons, then all the daughters, then all the cousins, then all the female cousins, then the female cousins with the sons, then the male cousins with grandma, etc. It's really quite a bonanza. Then when the 2nd and 3rd hour rolls around, everyone sits on the porch trying to think of a relative-combination we've missed. The best part is that every 15 minutes or so, someone drives past in a jacked up pickup truck painted camo and honks their horn, at which time everyone stops what they're doing and waves politely.

It's really quite an experience. Also, she lives in a dry county, which really adds to how relaxing the whole experience is.

It's just completely wrong. Hope someone corrected them.

That 1996 game is one of my favorite ever Egg Bowls. Especially going for 2 with 30 seconds left.

Except for this guy, in that thread:

"Their graduates command far less money starting out than Tech students. It saved my previous company a good amount of money when they hired MSU grads."

Of course, he may just be trying to be funny. The whole thread is sort of a parody/roast.

that I've had the pleasure of their acquaintance are dumb, but a helluva lot of them really are. If it doesn't add up mathematically, or geometrically, they don't know what to think or do about it, regardless of what it is...much less be able to talk about it.
