Very nice and informative. Also, the Falcons blow.

This sentence in the article jumped out at me when I read it;

Weighing heavily in the favor of Walsh was a Mississippi State defensive game plan that would force OSU to adopt a bold new look ON THE FLY after the standard disappeared.

At some point, hopefully our staff will adapt "on the fly" to changes in game situations, but they certainly didn't Saturday.

This article did me some good I think. I'm still worried about our offense but I see our defense playing better than last year and getting better throughout the season. I hope Dak will get a lot of reps in the Alcorn game, gets comfortable, and then leads us over the Auburn hump. I honestly believe that, as usual, the Auburn game will make or break this season. I don't have any allusions of grandeur but I would like MSU to go to a bowl game this year...at least.

Outstanding article. I'm still disappointed that our defense was not prepared for the zone read option--which they will see several more times this year-- but I guess I understand why they were not instantly prepared for OSU's diamond formation with two tailbacks. Sort of. Well, I can see why it caught them off guard at first, but they should have been able to adjust to it.

man, it would be really nice to run something a defense wasnt expecting and be the ones to catch them off guard for a change. maybe we can run that spread thingy that we heard so much about back in 2009. that would really throw opposing defenses for the loop...they would never see it coming.
