Best meal I've had in state college (I've probably been to all the restaurants mentioned except grace, re farms, and pine Grove milll) was the pan roast at the American Ale House. It is not on the regular menu, but they have an additional menu that sometimes you have to ask for, and. Sometimes they don't have.

Not a fan of the field.

Jean Bonnet is really hard to beat. Food is excellent and I love the old colonial look. I was disappointed that the upstairs bar was not kept somewhat colonial.
I love the place, but they make their carbonara with bacon. That's a huge mistake.

I am surprised that no one has mentioned The Tavern. Great food and great atmosphere - my family loves to go there.
Still a great place to eat but if haven’t been there since Pat D died you will pay twice as much for half the amount of food. Still a fine place to dine

Kelly’s, Hublersburg Inn, The, Tavern, and the ale house are usually pretty good.

My wife and I will be attending the Nebraska match on the 30th. We wanted to go out for a nice dinner beforehand. Any recommendations in StateCollege or the general vicinity? Just about any cuisine will work. We have eaten at Happy Valley Brewing, Ottos, Federal Taphouse, and Faccia Luna. We wanted to try something new. Thanks.
So, where did you elect to eat?

this might stop Willie’s favorable recruiting, you better take it back!! Not sure what you need to do to tag him but he might need tagged.

Most likely the Field. But not certain yet.
I have another suggestion. If you like Chinese food, Little Szechuan is outstanding. It actually smells like "Asia" when you enter the place, and the food is as close to being in China as I've had in the US. No bar, but you can bring your own adult beverage if you'd like.

When you say "smells like Asia", maybe the Wuhan market?
