I love the place, but they make their carbonara with bacon. That's a huge mistake.Jean Bonnet is really hard to beat. Food is excellent and I love the old colonial look. I was disappointed that the upstairs bar was not kept somewhat colonial.
It's Iowa day. @82bordeaux is fast asleep resting for tonight.I love the place, but they make their carbonara with bacon. That's a huge mistake.
Still a great place to eat but if haven’t been there since Pat D died you will pay twice as much for half the amount of food. Still a fine place to dineI am surprised that no one has mentioned The Tavern. Great food and great atmosphere - my family loves to go there.
Maybe. But you know everything is better with bacon.I love the place, but they make their carbonara with bacon. That's a huge mistake.
So, where did you elect to eat?My wife and I will be attending the Nebraska match on the 30th. We wanted to go out for a nice dinner beforehand. Any recommendations in StateCollege or the general vicinity? Just about any cuisine will work. We have eaten at Happy Valley Brewing, Ottos, Federal Taphouse, and Faccia Luna. We wanted to try something new. Thanks.
this might stop Willie’s favorable recruiting, you better take it back!! Not sure what you need to do to tag him but he might need tagged.I love the place, but they make their carbonara with bacon. That's a huge mistake.
Most likely the Field. But not certain yet.So, where did you elect to eat?
I have another suggestion. If you like Chinese food, Little Szechuan is outstanding. It actually smells like "Asia" when you enter the place, and the food is as close to being in China as I've had in the US. No bar, but you can bring your own adult beverage if you'd like. Most likely the Field. But not certain yet.

Better be careful with Little Szechuan, were just recently written up ( violations) by the Centre County Health Inspector in a recent monthly inspection.I have another suggestion. When you say "smells like Asia", maybe the Wuhan market?Better be careful with Little Szechuan, were just recently written up ( violations) by the Centre County Health Inspector in a recent monthly inspection.
