Bottom line, we have screamed cheaters at Ole Miss and Auburn, and yet we are the ones on probation. You can argue the reasons for that, but not the results. Whether they are truly clean (they aren't) or they are just better at it (they are), we are the ones who looks foolish. Shots like this are to be expected.

Anyone know the booster who screwed us over? Robert Denton Herring - probably only in his early 30's based on his MSU graduation date of 2002. I heard rumors that he was a small, small time contributor to the Bulldog Club. Seems like a small time rogue booster who was under our radar and way out of his league. We have met the enemy and he is us. Geez, Edith!!!

The biggest problem I have with that article is that Scarbinsky makes it seem like Rogers was a State booster, when in actuality he was a wanna-be agent looking out for himself. Also, he compares this to Alabama getting busted with Means... Another bad comparison since we turned ourselves in, unlike bama with Means. I know he's just pandering to his audience, though. The sad part is Auburn and Alabama fans are too ignorant to realize it.

That name's really familiar. Was he an instructor (maybe a grad student?) at MSU in the 2005ish timeframe?

And didn't Means involve a lot more money changing hands? And wasn't there a suspicious death in Memphis? There's no comparison with the Means case. And as I recall, he never panned out at Memphis State after all that either (I think that's where he wound up).

Alabama has gotten away with a whole lot more than we've ever thought about doing. And Auburn is even worse.

Ah yes... the internets writer.

Take two to three points from other publications and pontificate your own zeal with abandon.

Yeah we were the ones who got smacked while others roll on but I put as much stock in these interweb writers as I do whether to put the toilet roll over or under on the spindle.
