except there is no way in hell Auburn should be ranked that high. I'm sorry, I dont give a **** who you have behind a Heisman winning QB, a first round draft pick DT and 4 starting OL, you will almost inevitably take a step back replacing that many people. And by step back, I dont mean from No. 1 to No. 17. The Barn only returns a grand total of 8 starters on BOTH sides of the ball next year.

1. 17ing ND is number 14. I could see 24, 25 or something along those lines if at all.
2. Texas is not top five or even top ten. I think he got that one right.

I think Bama and LSU are on a level playing field

Ohio State at #6 is ridiculous. They are going to be without 5 starters including their "star" Terrell Pryor. This team should be around 20 in my opinion. I guess this is where their cupcake schedule comes into play.

Stanford at #7 with a new headcoach? Nuff said

Boise in a new conference, I dunno....

Notre Dame #14 Will the media ever get out of bed with ND? Every year they have "a top recruiting class" every year is the year they will "return". I'm not buying. I also tend to think any team that is independent doesn't deserve being in discussion for any BCS games. Same goes for conferences that didn't play conference championship games.

Auburn is ranked too high. They shouldnt be ranked. Sorry. I say 6-6 this year for them

UGA. Really?

I am not a believer that a program should automatically be ranked due to their "history". Lets look at last years results, who has graduated or gone pro, and not even count a single incoming freshman. Many of them never pan out.

Edited to add: I forgot the most important. I feel like we should be around 20. We finished 15th last year and aren't losing many. Our LBs will be the difference. Auburn lost their whole offense (Newton) and they are ranked much higher. Makes no sense. We are MSTATE

Did I miss something? I did see them have a really high recruiting class, but #4 in the country? We would beat Florida State next year.

One reason people give for not ranking SEC teams number one is because they know they'll lose at least one game throughout the year, after week one either number 1 or 3 will have a loss so one of them can't be that high by that rationale. I guess it was that impressive win over UConn that vaulted Oklahoma to such prominence. And last, Kirk said it a couple of years ago and it still holds true. Notre Dame you are no longer relevant and until you win 9 regular season games with that schedule I will still consider you a good mid-major school.
