He lost his best players so I do believe rhat is a big part of the problem
You might be right, but outside of Toth no one has really developed under him. Hes responsible for developing the players on the line and hes failed miserably. Toth is the only one in four years that has improved. 1 out of 15+ lineman is not a good percentage.

I said at the end of last season that if Stoops did not can Schlarman that he would deeply regret it. I mean in 3 years we saw regression, not improvement. That should not be happening.

Anyone focused in on the OL? Just watched them over and over? They get head slapped, hits to the throat, pushed out of the way, out quicked, pushed back, etc. They are not near mean or tough enough for the SEC. Just like high school, a guy either has it or don't. Can't really coach toughness, nastiness and intensity. Our guys are as big as most, the heart and mind are the differences.

The entire team is soft. That is the fault of the HC and how he runs the place. There is a big emphasis on family which is nice and brings a lot of kids to UK but winning football requires a toughness that is not demonstrated on either side of the ball. I don't know if Schlarman is a good coach or not but I can see both lines getting pushed around too much.

This is no knock to walkons but when you have walkons beating out scholarship players out in positions like OT or Center, its not good. It only shows that either the walkons have more heart or were badly underrecruited. Or, your scholarship players are way overrated.

I thought John was going to be great but he has been a disaster. he needs to go along with Eliot. our guys have not gotten better since he has been here and I truly think they have the talent to do so.

Sorry guys of was thinking D line not O line. It is hell getting old tomorrow I will turn 59 with the mind of an 80 year old.

Wow, I hope I don't go downhill that fast in the next two years.

Just kidding you, but you will know you are getting old when you stop lying about your age and start bragging about it. It happens.
