Schloss to Texas?

I mean yeah, losing is pain, but Schloss ain’t going to Texas. Vitello likely IS their next coach, win or lose, this year or the next.A lot on the line tomorrow. Max pain for somebody.
I don't think they would let a coach get away that actually got them to the last game of the year with a chance to win it all after they kept piling millions on Jumbos contract every year for going 8-4 and 9-3 and losing crappy bowl games for years. I would think they'd open the doors to the endowment back and let him walk out happy before they let him get away, especially since it's TX of all people

I hate when coaches act like that… it’s selfish for a reporter to ask a question? Just say “no, im not taking the job at the university of Texas”
So, what he didn't say is, "No, I'm not going to take the Texas job." Always listen to what people say, and what they don't say. It's important. All of that sounds good. But he didn't answer the question.
Is it disrespectful in that immediate environment? Sure. But the fact that he did not say "no" also means that door isnt closed.

IMO this is along the lines of how Schloss should have answered that question:
"It's not appropriate for you to ask or for me to answer that question tonight but, when I do, my answer will be the same as every other time I've been asked such questions--I do not comment on rumors concerning my current or future job plans."
Something like this is how a man with integrity would respond...not trying to capitalize financially on the situation and not setting himself up to have lied about the situation when it plays out.

Like I said earlier. Listen to what people say, and what they don’t say. If someone doesn’t answer the question, there’s usually a reason they don’t answer the question.
