I was looking forward to both of them. I guess that walk-on from Memphis better come to play.<div>

The problem with that is that 1. Sandberg hasn't signed, just committed, and 2. Its gonna be hell keeping Sandberg from going pro in baseball. We better sign another QB this year or this position could be in trouble.

Damn. I wouldn't call him critical, but we need him. Right when we're set to have a great season, some **** like this happens.

Ghost of Sleepy Robinson's knee must have pissed him off.

EDIT...oh, not THAT Perkins. Still hate to see Shu go. What kind of bizzaro world is this where MSU needs to trim the roster so we let go of a QB from GA who won a state title at a high level of high school football.

We already got that walk on which is pretty much equivalent to what Schuessler is/was.

I have no idea if Griffin was referring to this situation, but considering the timing it seem logical. Here is what Griffin tweeted:<div>

we need to drop 2 guys to get to 85

We have a dual threat QB as a back-up
We have a dual-threat QB as a walk-on
We have a dual-threat QB committed

He doesnt fit in with the future at QB

Now Derrick Milton has weighed in with his opinion on the matter<div>

“I left voluntarily,” Schuessler said in a text message to The Clarion-Ledger. “The school just wasn’t a good fit for me and I want to play at a school that is closer.”

@MacGrifferous I guess folks are either BalisMade or BalisBroke. The ones that are BalisMade will have a jersey come September. #HailState

If you read any of his twitter comments then you would see that he whines like a middle school girl, and girls don't play football. Not surprised at all that he left/ run off. He was home sick & missed his girlfriend. We got that walk on who's just as good. If we get down to our 3rd string QB the season is over anyways. Schusseler was brought in for one reason & that reason committed to Clemson.

I understand we were two deep at that point, but if Tyler goes down and Dak goes down we're screwed anyway. Honestly, I never liked us signing Shoe in the first place. Not to mention if that does happen we'd probably put some athletic kid that played QB in high school anyway(like we were with Bumphis heading up to bowl game after Ty got hurt). For me last year it was Liggins, Alford, or Mays at QB, and no one else was really in my radar, especially once I figured out Sandberg was on our radar this year. Kinda bummed about Adarrius, but Will Redmond, B. Brown and R. Brown were more important skill players in my opinion.

Ihad high hopes for Perkins. I was impressed with his athleticism the little bit I saw of him --- thought maybe he had potential to be a Cam Lawrence type player.

Oh well, opens up another slot to hopefully sign someone who really wants to be a part of this team.

Being that he committed roughly one week ago, the thought crosses my mind as well

As far as Perkins is concerned, he had supposedly been impressing the coaches. This is third-hand information from someone who would know, but supposedly the coaches were pretty high on him and had been debating as to whether he would end up on offense or defense.

Either way, they obviously couldn't hang. I find it amusing Schuessler begged and begged for a offer, and he finally gets one. Turns out he is too much of a ***** to last more than a month. Guess he didn't want to to play SEC football that badly after all.
