Does SCN have a chance here? They have some d1 talent, and a great player in NW commit Reinke. I would love to hear your thoughts!
I agree. Hold onto the ball, should be 3 score game at the least.Rice has superior athletes. If they play their game and don’t shoot themselves in the foot, they should win comfortably.
I remember it!! If you had Tyler Nubin I'd give them a shot against BRMan it sounds like no one is giving Chuck North the respect they deserve. Seems like everyone has forgotten the 2018 Mount Carmel state semi(that I was apart of). Pomazak will have the boys ready to play. Private schools will always have the upper hand, but the big question will be how does north handle the BR d-line… that will determine the outcome.
lol it was the craziest game I have ever been apart of. Too bad we had to take on JJ McCarthy in the state finalI remember it!! If you had Tyler Nubin I'd give them a shot against BR. God that game was bad for MC. They take down ESL and their arsenal of players in the quarters and then I watched MCs D get beaten by 1 player running the wildcat and catching a TD pass. Fumbled Punt, bad snap on the goal line, two missed chip shot FGs, fumbling on OT on the goal line....nightmare game for MC, everything went wrong. I think BR will have to have a similar game to lose this week....which has been known to happen to BR many times in the past, but talent vs talent I like BR by 3 scores.
Who does that? Change the game plan the day before a game?lol it was the craziest game I have ever been apart of. Too bad we had to take on JJ McCarthy in the state final. It didn’t help that we changed our whole gameplan the day before the state title game, but I won’t even get into that
JJ and Love were unstoppable that year. BR should win, but I think north keeps it closer than expected.
Nubin was hurt right?lol it was the craziest game I have ever been apart of. Too bad we had to take on JJ McCarthy in the state final. It didn’t help that we changed our whole gameplan the day before the state title game, but I won’t even get into that

When you have to try and keep pace with JJ and naz you overthink everything. We ran the wildcat the whole playoff run, and the day before the state title game the game plan switched to a run and gun style of offense. We switched back to the wildcat the 4th quarter of that state title game and it worked.. who knows what could have been if we just stuck with it the whole time.Who does that? Change the game plan?
If I can remember correctly, He was definitely banged up, he wasn’t 100%. He played both sides of the ball for us. That definitely put some wear and tear on him. Especially with all the hits he was taking in the wildcat.Nubin was hurt right
Very close, Reinke has the size, nubin had the physicality and playmaking ability. Is reinke a better offensive player than nubin was at that stage?
Agree, scn has 2-3 stud WRs who can take over the game, so doubling reinke leaves the secondary vulnerable against the other guys.if I remember correctly, max doubled nubin all over the field. Not sure. BR can double reinke with the the other scn receivers if they hang onto the ball?
I don't know if SCN has seen a pass rush like Rice yet - that can disrupt a passing game quite a bit. If McGee, Liggins, Parks and Fitzgerald are on Sat nite then it'll be a good one for RiceAgree, scn has 2-3 stud WRs who can take over the game, so doubling reinke leaves the secondary vulnerable against the other guys.
Agree, that’s the x-factor in this game.I don't know if SCN has seen a pass rush like Rice yet - that can disrupt a passing game quite a bit. If McGee, Liggins, Parks and Fitzgerald are on Sat nite then it'll be a good one for Rice
JJ played with a broken hand which he suffered Tuesday or Wednesday in practice.lol it was the craziest game I have ever been apart of. Too bad we had to take on JJ McCarthy in the state final. Insanity. Always rooted for him post naz, hopefully he can figure it out in the NFLJJ played with a broken hand which he suffered Tuesday or Wednesday in practice.
If you need the Edgy board to motivate you, then you already lostbased upon the responses what do you think pomazak and staff is telling the team?
Prior to the Mount Carmel game in 2018, the main sentiment was MC had everything to lose, SCN being the heavy underdog was playing with house money. No one expected us to win that game so we went out there and played freely. I assume the same sentiment will be applied to this game.I wasn’t referring to simply the “edgy responses” but they represent the overall sentiment that they are the underdogs. And that since he played at SCN that he could provide insight into the coaches mindset.
Tell me about that week 2 gamePrior to the Mount Carmel game in 2018, the main sentiment was MC had everything to lose, SCN being the heavy underdog was playing with house money. Overall sentiment on a message board...lolI wasn’t referring to simply the “edgy responses” but they represent the overall sentiment that they are the underdogs. And that since he played at SCN that he could provide insight into the coaches mindset.
Quit being a coward. 21/22 starters have been at BR since freshman year.Rice let's their senior transfers stay out in Aurora and Kankakee for the night with pay in this one.. wins easy and makes initial offers to SCN juniors to transfer in for the fall semester next year
Why will the Private Schools always have the upper hand? Asking for a friend.Man it sounds like no one is giving Chuck North the respect they deserve. Do I really have to answer that? Why will the Private Schools always have the upper hand? Asking for a friend.
No.Is reinke a better offensive player than nubin was at that stage?
