I know there was talk in the past about it, but has it been mentioned lately to move the primary EMCC campus to the Golden Triangle location? I think it would be good for everybody. Scooba is off the beaten path and there is not much there at all. I'm pretty sure there are more students in Mayhew than Scooba. It would cost to build dorms and athletic facilties, but you have to think that it would be a good return on investment. MSU would be wise to donate to the cause as well

Lots of recent construction in scooba (new FB stadium, student center, etc) does not portend a move. GT campus can still get as big as it wants. Plus it doesn't seem to me that being located in scooba has affected the sports program.

Most of the JUCO's are in towns with nothing else.

Like the guy ahead of me, EMCC has put a lot into athletic facilities lately- they're not moving any time soon.

I stopped at the road side park west of Scooba on 16 to make a phone call and toss some trash into the trash can. Based on the # of used rubbers and beer cans it looked liked the spot with the most action in Kemper County.
