Todd said: Odds are a lot better that Carpenter will be more productive than Smoltz next year.
Blue said: I don't care how much younger he is than Smoltz or what kind of throwing program he is on. There is nothing in his history that would make anybody believe - other than a homer like you and an ownership group who signed him to a long term contract - that he will come back and be effective long term.
Carpenter: 11-3, 2.26 ERA, 0.97 WHIP, averaging basically 7 innings per start
Smoltz: 2-5, 8.33 ERA, 1.70 WHIP, never went beyond six innings in 8 starts and 40 innings, DFA by the Red Sox today

if a true count was being kept, Blew would trail a few of us around here by quite a few...

Whats his new name on here? He's been hiding out avoiding ridicule lately. I'm surprised he hasnt been on here telling us for the 3rd year in a row about how this is finally the year Les Miles is going to be fired....

sends you a ridiculous private message and you can burn them with it, post it especially if said private message is sent without provocation.

about where he would end up being professionally. I said Europe and Blue said "A long and successful NBA career." This argument occurred in chat where Blue kept on messaging me constantly. I had to block him he was so annoying.

I'll admit that I never saw Ryan Franklin being an All-Star caliber closer and Skip Shumaker being a pretty good second baseman, though. But that's why Tony LaRussa is going to the Hall of Fame.

Oh, and I'm still waiting to hear what was wrong with Chris Carpenter's mechanics.

That said, I just hope that the Cardinals stay healthy because if they do, they have a great shot at winning right now.
