Has anyone here ever had the Caribbean Cask 14 year old from The Balvenie? If so, share your thoughts, thanks......

It is very good, but I actually still prefer the DoubleWood. If you have the two side by side, you can definitely taste the finish difference from the Rum cask to the Sherry cask.

I've had a few from The Balvenie........

The DoubleWood 12 and the single 12 & 15 are great, I've never had the Caribbean and just needed a confirmation that the rum cask was a tasty beverage as well. Thanks Randy

stellar thoughts there on the bottle Felonious Junk.

It is a tasty dram, but I prefer the 15 year single barrel. The Doublewood is nice, but for a little less money, the Glenmorangie Lasanta is better IMO. Hard to ever go wrong with any Balvenie offerings though.

I'm with you on the Lasanta...

Great whisky for the price! The Doublewood and Carribean are very good -- you can't go wrong.

Never knew I was a peated fan until I had the Balvenie 17yr Peated Cask. Heaven.

I'll echo what randystewart said. I have both bottles at home right now, and I prefer the Double Wood over the Caribbean, but both are very good and very smooth. I have yet to try a Balvenie that I do not enjoy...
