This is just a suggestion, but I would like to advise the Athletic Department to remove the dead indians from underneath Scott Fieldduring this field reconstruction. What great opportunity to fix this problem.

Can it be done?

It's a tricky situation. If campus was private land, it would be easy, but since it's owned by the state, they have to follow NAGPRA regulations as well as the Antiquities Act of 1906. What will probably happen, is the school will make a donation to the tribe that claims ownership and lineage to the graves and respective artifacts, thus getting their "blessing" in allowing us to remove them; the bodies and artifacts would then be relocated to their possession.

I always thought that was a joke, Indian mounds under Scott field and all.

But if it is true we would be crazy NOT to build a casino adjacent to DWS. Surely no other school in the country has an on campus casino?
