Oof. You'd think after spending 3 years with the world's greatest football coach and Christian rolled into one, he'd be either a better player or person.

Um did you guys read what this douchebag wrote about CJ? Since when is being "country" a negative? Being country worked out pretty good for Favre, Rice, and Walter Payton.

Might want to add Fletcher Cox in there too. The writer seemed to have a some

what high opinion of himself.

I didn't think he was saying "he's country" as a negative. He simply said he's country.

All of the quotes were from scouts, not the writer.

Two things jumped out at me. One, a scout said he had character issues. Did I miss something there?
Two, another said, he has two things going against him. He's a junior from Miss. State, and he's not too smart. I'll buy the not too smart part, but what's wrong with being a junior from Miss. State. Was Fletcher Cox not a "junior from Miss. State" once upon a time?

The rest of the quotes I can live with.

Yeah that was poorly phrased. I don't think he meant it as a negative. They put all the negatives and positives in one sentence.

well, if you still shoot the **** with your rivals coach long after your recruitment was over, i would consider that a character issue.

By "character issues" I think they mean his work ethic and want-to.

I think they may be talking about his daddy. His daddy is sort of like Denzel

is to Robert in some peoples eyes. I know his dad was a thorn in our side during his recruitment.

Who'd have guessed that Vernon Butler (former teammate of AJ Jefferson) would be the top DL drafted from that 2012 Mississippi high school class? You had Quay Evans, Channing Ward, Nick James, Jefferson, Jeremy Liggins (had potential to be DL), Isaac Gross, Nelson Adams. Supposedly we were going to take him if we hadn't gotten both Evans and James.

He may be the only player from that entire class drafted --- Nick James, Jefferson, Richie Brown, and Isaac Gross are the only ones I see that could get drafted next year.

No kidding. Imagine if we would have gotten Butler, Jones, and Andrew Billings (we finished second with him).
