Just some info on records and such... I have only seen Detroit play, but here is some insight on how they are doing thus far in the season:<div>
</div><div>FAU (4-5)-</div><div>Wins- Warner Southern, Georgia State, George Mason, and Hofstra. </div><div>Losses- Portland, Washington (by 6), American, USF, and Kansas.</div><div>*The 6 point loss to Washington on the road stands out in this one.</div><div>
</div><div>Detroit Mercy (5-7)-</div><div>Wins- Lake Eerie, Concordia, Austin Peay, St. Johns, and Western Michigan.</div><div>Losses- Notre Dame (by 6 in South Bend), George Washington, Bowling Green, Akron, Youngstown State, Cleveland State, and Alabama (by 8 in Tuscaloosa).</div><div>*The win over St. Johns and the 6 point loss to Notre Dame on the road stand out in this one. Watching this team play on tv, they are going to be a scrappy bunch that plays pretty good defense. </div><div>
</div><div>I expect these two teams to really give us a run. If we play like we have been, these two teams should not be a problem to beat, but if we give them a reason to fight and play (turnovers, poor rebounding, poor shot selection), we will have a hard time. </div>

I expect a Big Blowout vs FAU, and a solid road win @ Detriot. These teams just can't match up with our Moultrie and the RSS.
Baylor will be our first real test vs solid Big Men this season.

am concerned as you about the close loss to Washington, although, I dont see where their strength is like I did with Troy.

That game should be pretty easy for us to pull away from because they just dont have any big bodies.

The Detroit game, as you say, will be against a very scrappy bunch. It really does concern me. Suffice to say, it could be a pretty good challenge, if we can pull it off to prepare us for Baylor. That game is going to be a *****.

Just like Texas couldn't stop us in the post, FAU and Detroit have no chance. RSS, Moultrie and Lewis should own the paint, and once they start doubling, that's going to lead to wide open looks for Bost, Steele, Hood, etc. Detroit already lost probably their best post player for the year so they are really hurting. We just have to keep McCallum from going off.

Both of these should be relatively easy wins for a Sweet 16 type team.

..For a highly ranked team, this is the ridiculous schedule they have played to date:

Fri, Nov 11 Texas Southern W 77-57 -- -- --

Sun, Nov 13 Jackson St. W 92-59 -- -- --

Tue, Nov 15 San Diego St. W 77-67 -- -- --

Tue, Nov 22 S. Carolina St. W 70-50 -- -- --

Wed, Nov 23 TX Arlington W 75-65 -- -- --

Tue, Nov 29 Prairie View A&M W 90-54 -- -- --

Sun, Dec 4 at Northwestern W 69-41 -- -- --

Know who their next opponent is? The mighty Bethune-Cookman.

It's awful. They only have three legitimate games before us - BYU, St. Mary's and West Virginia. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say St. Mary's will not be #1 in the RPI when they play Baylor.
