Screw Cam Newton. Pull his offer before he changes his mind.

If a kid doesn't want to be a part of the state family, he is agin us. Cam looked so cool ringing the cowbell at the egg bowl. But I had a gut feeling that he was going to go the "too good to sign with us" route. Screw him. If he can't accept our team or possibly platooning, let him go to allbarn. Bring on the other juco kid and let's welcome him on his visit. I can't handle any more bail outs from these prospects. I hate recruiting season. Later, Cam.

No. What makes me an old man loser for not wanting kids who won't bleed maroon with me?

You need to take that **** to Genes page. Everyone will be upset if we dont' get Newton, but you have to recruit these 17ers. Croom would offer QB's that had SWAC offers and we didn't have to sweat it out. When is the last time that we've sweated it out over a quarterback recruit? Think that one over. A large percentage of our fanbase are losers. You're probably the same guy that wanted Hopsons offer pulled so we could sign Beckham.

good things come to them that wait

Cam to me is like dessert after a great meal. We have 2 QB's and prolly one coming in and a guy who knows how to develop them.

Pulling offers from top recruits to give them to lesser recruits just because the better recruit MIGHT sign with somebody else is a recipe for disaster. We'll never sign the top recruits unless we actually, you know, RECRUIT them.

This is 17 ing unreal. A kid goes to visit another school and now he is a thug traitor. Let's just keep going after players that nobody wants so we do not have to deal with this **** anymore. It is nice to be competing against the best. The only bad part about this is we have a chance at a great one. Although we would more than likely not be on the radar if not for the past history between Mullen and Cam. To lose out on this one would really hurt.

I've watched our dogs for years, and I get it. We get hype over a kid, then a bigger football power offers and they're gone. It's nothing new. I'm just saying I'd rather have a Mississippi kid who grew up understanding State or a recruit who wants to be here regardless if Auburn or Bama recruit them. Good point about waiting on a big qb prospect. But you can't tell me he's not going to play for Auburn if they offer. America, his choice, yada yada. We'll be fine with someone who wants to be a Bulldog!

I miss the old days when we would battle it out with Arkansas St. and UAB for recruits...and then go 4-8. But those kids wanted to be Bulldogs!!

courted by the heavy weights and fierce recruiting battles go on.. the top notch programs get players from all over that only have loyalty to themselves and not the school... they are talented and their performance makes the programs win..

if you think we can get to the next level by having only players that bleed maroon and white, you've lost your mind...

as far as newton goes, it appears from the AU boards it is a done deal and he's going to auburn... and yes, even though it shoudn't, it makes me sick... anyone who thinks this isn't a blow has ALSO lost their mind.,,,

not just because we lost out on a big time QB recruit, but the way we lost out on it and who we lost out on it too.... croom had newton interested in us out of high school... then the guy who recruited him and worked with him at UF courts him as head coach at a school he had considered early on... he comes in and rings the cowbell at one of the best games ever at Scott Field and AU comes in as johnny come lately and pulls this ****...

it is sickening... I feel I've been punched in the stomach.... get ready Tyler...we need you to be ready...

after his flirtation with Georgia. When you go after blue-chippers, this is how it goes. We just have to weather the storm from the big-name programs and hope we come out on top.

By your logic, we should only recruit those that are balls out horny to play for MSU.

Do you seriously feel this way with every recruit that is offered and doesnt commit to us right away?

This mindset is how you end up with Tyson Lee as your starting QB
