Ok, usually I'm the guy answering this type of question instead of asking it but here it goes: What do I need to have from DirecTV to ensure I get all the SEC football games? I'm pretty sure I need CBS (of course), ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN Classic and ESPNU. Doesn't ESPNU come with the sports package? Just curious if someone has worked all this out and if there are any channels I don't know about. Thanks!

I think at least one game a week will be on CSS. Over here in Tejas those games will also be on Gameplan, not sure about where you are.

FSS and CSS. Problem is, at least the way that I understand it, the problem is that CSS is not available to Direct TV or Dish customers. It is only available with Comcast. Starting Thursday there are SEC games on:

ESPN
ESPN U
ABC
SEC TV (I think this will be the regional station)
FSS
CSS
11 SEC games from Thursday through Sunday.

if you are out of the region. I'm not sure exactly how it works still though. The new SEC Network is much bigger than the Raycom crap though. We get it out here.

FSS week 1:
Charleston Souther vs Florida at 6:00 PM

Week 2:
State vs Auburn at 6:00 PM

Week 3:
State vs Vandy at 6:00 PM

I don't know about Gameplan carrying the FSS games and CSS games, I have heard that they will and heard that they will not. Also, my past experience with Gameplan in that State and Ole Miss games are usually blacked out in MS if they are airing on another channel, like FSS or CSS. Who knows?

I just moved back to the Premium Package so I don't have to worry about it. Damned if they don't nickle and dime you to death though. I'm gonna have to call on Monday and raise some hell to get HD and the DVR packages for free. $16.00 a month for something that should just be there is crazy.

that said the CSS and FSS and the SEC Network ones would be on Gameplan, if you are out of the area. So like you said, in MS you'll be screwed.

I hope that's all true though, because Gameplan is the only possibility I have, since CSS isn't even on cable here. So even the sports bars couldn't get it.

Will our game this weekend be on the old raycom channels, aka WCBI? What about ESPN360? I don't have ESPNU so am I screwed?

Depending on your cable or sat company, it is not very expensive to add it and would be well worth it with all of the SEC games on ESPN U this season.
