These are the season stats for us , NOT just the SEC game stats. We have MAJOR problems that are unlikely to be fixed unless we have some people on the bench that can hit.
Batting average: 11th
Fielding percentage: 13th
Slugging percentage: 13th
Homeruns: 13th
Total bases:13th
Grounded into double play: 1st with 21, for context the league average is 12
We don't have a single player in the top 15 of any of the the SEC leaders in a batting category
We are still pretty good in all of the pitching categories, and doing well in walks and stolen bases.

I present all of this to say that Lemonis MUST try to sake up this lineup somehow. We are horrendous on defense so it isn't like we have anyone in the lineup solely for their defense. We are not going to win SEC games slapping ground balls around the infield, which is what this lineup does. That is why we are hitting into a record number of double plays as well.

There are a few that I'd say you definitely need in the lineup from a hitting perspective. Tanner Allen, Kamren James (although he may be my DH), Luke Hancock, Logan Tanner, and TBD on Skinner. Everyone else is absolutely killing us, and yes that includes Rowdey. The absolute biggest head scratcher for me is Hatcher. He isn't a great defender which means he must be in for his bat, but you can't play an average defender for their bat and then keep them in the lineup hitting .215 and slugging .349.

We can continue to put lipstick on this pig all we want, but this team's potential is shot until we find some people that can hit something other than slap ground balls.

I think a lot of the offensive issues will have to be fixed in recruiting. Not sure how much better we can expect certain guys to get, and we don’t have much depth offensively.

I think certain guys will hit better than they have, but this isn’t going to be a great hitting team. We are built to be more pitching heavy this year.

I agree. James killed us this weekend with the glove. He was involved in that 'double' that should have been EASILY caught and led to three more runs scored on Sat and the ground ball miscue that led to 4 additional runs on Sun. Even Rowdey lost sight of a can of corn that also scored a run and he doesn't even have the offense right now to help make up for it.

I really wish Landon Jordan had not flown off the handle and left the team. He might be starting at 3B had he stayed and James moved to first.

Just another role player. Pretty obvious he didn't have the mental toughness to handle adversity anyway.

James should have never been sent to 3rd instead of Jordan in the first place or Jordan would still be here. I kind of don't blame him for "flying off the handle" after being benched and replaced by the guy leading the team in errors

Don't disagree, but you still need him int he lineup on this team. James is one of the only people that fairly consistently makes solid non-grounder contact. If I were an opposing pitcher, James and TA are really the only 2 people in our lineup that I'd be focused on pitching carefully

The groundballs are maddening. The 0-0,1-0 and 2-0 swings are just baffling.
