Not when you're already in the regionals. Prop up 2-3 more SEC teams. Usher them right on up.A single elimination baseball tournament is absolutely ludicrous.
It means nothing. Single elimination has nothing to do with real baseball on any level. Not when you're already in the regionals. Prop up 2-3 more SEC teams. Usher them right on up.
It is what it is.It means nothing. Single elimination has nothing to do with real baseball on any level.
I remember going to the SEC tournament at the old wooden Dudy Noble. 4 teams, double elimination. As it should be.It is what it is.

For teams that would rather have the week off to prepare for the real tournament single elimination is perfect. I won't be surprised if we take an early exit. ATM needs to do work to get in so . . .I’m fine with the format because the result doesn’t really matter and it allows teams to leave after one loss, but it is heavily to the top 4 seeds’ advantage.
Texas, Arkansas, LSU, or Vanderbilt will win.
Having an odd number of conference series wouldn't even out anything, it'd make it more unbalanced.Need to drop the tournament and add another SEC weekend series To help even schedules out.
What happens if rain derails this thing? Is there a backup plan to play 7 inning games back to back to back?
