SEC chant very prevelant with each W. Say what u will...I love it.

One common denominator I have noticed after every SEC victory is the SEC chant as usual. I know many on here are against it and loathe the SEC rally cry. I for one love it. I'm proud of our conference and being part of it. Granted , we are given the short end of the stick IMO at times by the SEC administration . However , the positives heavily heavily out way the negatives. Cash pay out for bowl games would be proof positive number 1. I know we are a football conference. However, admittedly, it felt good to represent the entire conference at the CWS finals. I say.......SEC SEC SEC

To me it depends on the context. Chanting SEC after beating some CUSA team is stupid. Chanting SEC after beating a higher ranked team from another BCS conference is fine. But for the most part I prefer we chant M-S-U.

I prefer the M-S-U chant first and foremost. The SEC chant is salt in the wounds

Predominately because the rest of the country hates us and the dominance we exhibit. Be it Kentucky basketball or 8 consecutive BCS titles.

The Liberty Bowl chant seemed half hearted and was short lived. By the time I heard it, it was over.

I like the solidarity too. I even found myself pulling for Bama the other night. That's probably why they lost ....

Kinda funny how Missouri fans have jumped right in and seem to love their move to the SEC. And it probably is satisfying to go back and beat one of the top teams in their old conference.

That was a really good game last night. Too bad two of the best bowl games of the year were on at the same time.

I think it's the one of the dumbest chants ever. Am I glad that State is in the SEC? Yes. Don't think for a second that those 17ers in Tuscaloosa, Auburn, Baton Rouge, and Gainesville are thinking about how great MSU is in football when they chant SEC. The SEC had nothing to do with how good State was this year. Mississippi State should be praised for how well Mississippi State is playing, not the SEC.

I guess it depends on the situation; I cringed a little when we did it at UVA though. I would have much preferred "MSU!" if fans from the big 10 and big 12 would lighten up on the butt ache maybe SEC fans wouldn't be as inclined to chant it. I think all schools should be more proud of their program than the conference their in.

It's the intra national version of "USA, USA, USA!!!" So I like it for its delicious impact on rival conference fans. Only f'n communists don't like it.

It makes me resent the entire conference other than MSU. I think it the dumbest thing in the world. I was happy when Nebraska and OU fans chanted it in mockery. Hopefully people will just stop because it makes the whole conference look bad.
