co-defensive coordinator but always got all the attention from the media as the only defensive coordinator. Why was that?

this group on6P looked at him like he was some kind of a Rock Star (which holds no value to me)
otherwise, our D was much improved over the previous year.

stood right next to Diaz during every game with the same title as co-defensive coach and they both got hired on the same day with the same title yet Diaz got all the accolades from the media. Every game the tv announcers would talk about Diaz and in the background was Wilson yet no mention except for one game (Memphis I think).

This is a common misconception, but it's still wrong. Diaz was the Defensive Coordinator, Wilson was the Co-Defensive Coordinator. Now Wilson has moved up the hierarchy and Collins has replaced him as Co-DC

is correct. Bottom line is Diaz was the top dog, now that he's gone Wilson is the top dog. I don't expect a significant drop off in our talent and production defensively unless Mike Hunt leads a wave of attrition.

we have been a circled win on their schedule for 10 years. As tough as the SEC is they need a passy to play in the conference. We are no longer the give me win. Ole Miss, State, KY and Vandy are the cicle wins for other teams. We have been moved from that spot but I think we are seeing the process of Tenn taking our place.
