the Gators should have won in OT. Vandy is well...they are Vandy. The SEC is just not that good. I know I'm preaching to the choir but it underscores why we should have won at least 2-3 more games and been in the NCAAT.

But those 16 SEC games should be good enough to make us a tourney team, right??

Hmmm... two teams lost that we basically beat the **** out of on a neutral court before the "stall" last weekend. Then a team that we beat by 14 beat a mighty Big East 6 seed. What are you going to tell me next, Baylor and Villanova looked stellar coming from the two best conferences?

The SEC really does blow. Really makes you wonder why guys like Darrin Horn and John Pelphrey have so much trouble winning in such a ****** conference.

maybe because Horn has to play the best 4 teams in the conference twice every year...Pelphrey's problems have been discussed way too many times between us- its put up or shut up for him next season

We have easily been in the top 4 teams in the SEC since Horn took over. Besides that he has also consistently lost to us and Ole Miss. Horn is a prime example why hiring a guyjust because he won2 games in March is not always a good idea. He has not recruited well and after Downey graduates SC is going to suck even more. I would bet good money that Horn is not at SC in 2-3 years.

And Carolina split with Kentucky, Vandy and Florida this year. Split with UGA. Tennessee swept them. So he went 3-5 against the top 4 teams in the East, 4-6 overall against the tough East.. And then he went 2-4 against the horrible West. How dare he!

Old Dominion kicked Notre Dame's *** so get over it. You are an absolute joke to everyone who reads these board other than your little group who actually thinks you have some sense. We are better than Florida and Vandy and so what if they lost nailbiters. It happens but why not take up fishing or golf or something that willhelp your stress. Most folks will look forward to basketball being over to not have to see this crap every day from you. You are not a basketball expert, never will be,so give it a rest. You have said on numerous occasions Stallings is a much better coach than Stansbury so go over to the Vandy board and ***** to them because nobody gives a **** what you think.

SEC has been ****** for a long time. There's been 0 wins on a national level since the racist Rupp was at Kentucky....that was what, 60s?

Yeah, seems like playing in the East really held him back this year. I guess playing in the West is what held Pelphrey, Lebo, Grant, and Johnson back? What were the excuses for Pelphrey again? I knowc34 had like3 excuses, and 2 were made up, but he had all his players for the SEC season and they still finished below .500 at freakin Arkansas. Hell, I cut on the tv the other day and Sonny Weems was in the freakin NBA, I think ol Pelphrey has had 3 of his players play in the NBA

Kentucky has won 3 NC's, Florida's won 2 and Arkansas won 1 since the 60's. Not to mention all the Final Fours (us, LSU, Georgia, UK, UF, Arkansas). Hell in 1996, we were a miracle 3-pointer away from having 3 SEC teams in the Final Four.

All their fans are saying Stansbury devised the blueprint of how to beat Vandy and yet we have fools on here who think he can't coach.

Rider!!!! I'm not in the C34 group (whatever that is) but the idea that Rick Stansbury is some great Xs & Os coach because we've done well in the SECT in the past 2 years, but only average in the regular season doesn't make sense to me.

Rider had an RPI of around 140. Florida lost to South Alabama who had an RPI of over 200. Does that make Billy Donovan a bad coach? No, but it is funny how that rarely was mentioned by the talking heads on the selection show. Also, Kevin Stallings lost to Western Kentucky. I am not excusing any of these losses because there is no excuse. I am just pointing out our tendency to not look around us and see that these kind of losses happen everywhere except with the very top teams and does not make Stansbury any more of an idiot that the other guys.

that teams aren't always going to win the games they are supposed to. But we lose more than we should and our schedule leaves little room for error. The main problem is that we lost to 5 or 6 teams like that...florida didn't.

But the point of the post you responsed to was to rebut the ridiculous idea that we couldn't draw up a gameplan for Rider because we hadn't seen them play before.
