last football season, in between our very obvious screwings, you saw multiple "apologies" for blown calls go out to teams from the conf. office (none for us by the way even with photographic evidence posted all over the internet for everyone to see), but now you have a situation where there was a blown call in a CHAMPIONSHIP GAME that had a direct impact on the outcome for the CONF. TITLE and a tournament bid - all you get is a 30K fine and a snippy statement from Slive about how Stansbury is not in keeping with the sportsmanship values of the SEC. Had he simply stated......."while it is unfortunate that a call was missed in such an important game for Miss. State......." I would be fine with it. I have absolutely ZERO respect for Slive as a leader of our conference - the way he stumped for Florida to get into the tournament on TV after we skull-drug them all over the court, sat with arms folded when Varnado broke the shot block record, and then this - I think there is no doubt where that guy stands relative to us.</p>

It was downright disrespectful. I couldn't believe that anyone would do that, much less the head of the conference.

absurd - I bet if you showed him the picture, he would say that there is not enough photographic evidence to prove that he was not indeed standing up and clapping for Varnado's accomplishment - call cannot be overturned.

championship and an NCAA tourney bid, but you get slapped with a fine if you point out the mistake to the press and public. Slive truly is a slime ball.

In a total contrast to that, he looked pretty bummed when UK lost to WVU (so it's not like he's never been emotionally involved in a game), you'd think he could at least stand his *** up for a record being broken. What a dick move. Why even show up?

Stans has always been one of the more respectful coaches in the SEC and has never been in any sort of controversy except for when he got thrown out of the game and flipped out at Karl Hess against Ole Miss in 2004. But even then, he was provoked by Hess and all he got was a little slap on the wrist. Now, the first time he comes out any says anything negative about the refs, he gets slapped with a $30,000 fine? Are you kidding me? If there was a fine, it shouldn't have been more than $3K at the most. Slive truly has it out for MSU and Stansbury it seems.

Dear SEC/Slive,

Perhaps if you would fine your no-good and biased referees for blowing obvious calls, the Stansburys of the world wouldn't feel the need to call your *** out in public.
